(This is a theoretical proposition experiment. Results posted after experiment)

You are a 4* player and you just reached 8-2 HoH

Eternal Orbs of alchemy no longer drop anywhere in Tier 3. If they drop anywhere, you have just as equal a chance to get them before, they drop only at depth 28.

Crafting 5* is no longer an option, except by buying the 800 per 3 orbs from supply depot.

Pay wall for HoH requiring all 5* gear (helm, armor, shield, and weapon) is now 3600 energy (Appx. ~252,000 crowns at 7000 crowns per 100 energy) + 120,000 crowns (5* recipes and crafting fees) = 372,000 crowns for your first 5* set. If you don't make the 5* gear, then FSC will not be an option since you didn't make it past HoH mission; you can only do CW FSC since you have the 4* certification.

It's been 5 months without eternal orbs. How do you complete 8-2 Hall of Heroes?

This would be much preferable to the radiant situation.

Since, you know, the game was pretty much the situation you described for two to three years.

Ancient Plate set + Fang of Vog. Lots of people shortcut through HoH using at least one piece but now they'd just use the whole thing.

I don't understand

Unless I misunderstand the question, Trollzorminings has answered the question. The new orb-crafting is at least as player-friendly as the old energy-crafting. In your hypothetical scenario, you have simply made orb-crafting exactly as player-friendly as the old energy-crafting.

'cept one thing

For all those people who used their wallet on ele passes, mist energy was used for it to be 700ce, rather than 800ce.

Also, eternals are found everywhere tier 3... (Even RT in T2...)

orbs

Just think, every time you find an eternal orb, you basically ran across 20,000 crowns worth of bound energy which is limited to crafting purposes.

And maybe if Vatel didn't give such god awful deals we would be able to make money off of them. But no, I'm confined to keep 75 eternal orbs in my inventory, and watch them collect dust. Meanwhile, I have exactly 0 advanced orbs and exactly 0 elite orbs.

whoosh

Jungle-Sword, this thread is about a hypothetical scenario, in which orbs are really rare, like radiants. It does not describe the current reality of the game, which is what you're talking about.
