Just a tip
Fyi, use MASKY to shadow cloak through passage.
Use cloak, unequip equip, cloak, unequip, equip... (ETC)

If you didn't know, the black stuff is called the swarm source and any knight caught in it has their movement speed decrease and any monster in it has their defense increased.

Unknown passage isn't that difficult
Even without spamming blast bombs, its not super difficult.
I probably use about .7 sparks of life on average per shadow lair run.

I did not know that you were talking about the spawners. I though you were talking about the... swarm seed .-. (You know, the black stuff in the actual snarby boss level...)
