I've tried just about every weapon I can think of to out-do a max charge time combustor/acheron.
Only very well aimed alchemer charge shots seem to match it in single target efficiency (instant kill) but even then, the brandish can do that to all 20 enemies in front of it, so even the alchemer is at a loss except when there's a low barrier or gap, and a need for particularly long range. It also takes substantially more skill to use an alchemer effectively.
Divine Avenger seems to be close, but has the downside of reducing your movement speed and annoyingly getting disrupted by walls behind you.
So what's the deal with these? Are they getting nerfed soon or something? I'd like to know so I don't waste orbs on one.
If it's working as intended then I guess I'll make a priority of getting one as I have little to no actual skill and enjoy seeing dozens of things die in one mouse click.
I don't think there's a nerf anytime soon (or forever), considering the previous update was actually buff-ing them. It used to be only 3 explosions. Enjoy the OP-ness. Hmm... you can one-shot few monsters with alchemer charge, but with a good monster positioning, like 3 monsters (mostly that slow zombies) close to each other makes "v" formation and you shot the middle of it. Divine Avenger charge is still the best attack move to kill Roarmulus Twins. Accompanied with vortex, volt edge is a bit better than combuster btw. Otherwise, combuster is better in general. Also, you may want stuck at firebrand for a while if you have trouble finding radiants.
