I've played near solid, save for an occasional trip elsewhere, since October 25th 2010.
There's a few players still around that were involved with this game back in 2008, though they are few and far between indeed.

Dangerrmouse, SK had some super special preview events before the game was officially launched. The game has actually been in development for more than 4 years! They're a small team, so it's taken the devs a while to put this together, but I think what they have so far is great.
I've only been around since the last month and a half before the public release. I've only been more pleased with the updates since then.

09 preview. I think.

I'm kind of a newbie, and I got to see the weird transition week into the "AH era".
Never had to look at forums until I wanted to look up some curse/faust business a few days ago, and I never saw anyone in-game complaining about economy like the forums seem to make it except for like, once.
Maybe I was too busy having fun w/ my friends.
