My client rashes randomly after about 3 minutes of gameplay. I Googled around, searched the forums, tried all the normal fixes. I initially ran it off steam, and played it from a fresh installation. I didn't have java installed outside of the java that's within steam. I tried turning off steam community in game, that didnt work. Tried uninstalling SK, installing java, then reinstalling SK. that didn't work. Most of the other fixes seem to be for "crashing on startup" which is not my particular issue. SK isn't failing to start or run, it just crashes very suddenly, with no error pop ups. This happens consistently before i have time to even get half way through a level. This is just such a silly thing to be such a huge issue. I really wonder how something this game-breaking is so prominent.Anyways, any help would be appreciated, I just wanted to get back into the game after not playing since release, but in this situation it's unplayable. I'm gonna have to just uninstall it if I can't find a reliable fix (although there seems to be none, since these threads show up all the way back to 2011)
Here's my specs if it helps, they're more than passable for this game.
OS: Windows 8 x64
Processor: Intel core i7-4702MQ CPU @ 2.20 GHz
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GT 750M with 4gb dedicated video memory
RAM: 16gb
An issue may be with your usage of Windows 8 64 bit, so it may be useful if you turn on compatibility mode in the game.
Another issue may be corrupted data (crashes should be more predictable with this), in which you have to delete your SK folder to download a fresh set of data files.
