I love the snipes that are all around Haven, but it'd be neat if we could interact with them somehow. I was thinking maybe using them as an equippable item.
The obvious, easy choice would be as a trinket (maybe a mineral multiplier), but my idea was to have the snipe be a type of bomb.
By "bomb," though, I mean something that could be planted on the ground like a regular bomb would, but since snipe are very peaceful creatures, have it do something more benign. For example, if someone uses a snipe bomb, anyone in the feathery "blast" radius (friend OR foe) loses any status effects on them except freeze and curse (for obvious reasons). It could be something like a 3-star item, and the blast radius could be small (proto bomb size) with a long charge. That way, the blue capsules won't lose their edge.

The other idea I had was a "snipe rifle," which shoots bullets that do piercing damage and has the best distance in the game, but also has the longest reload time and only lets out one shot at a time. It wouldn't be practical for those solo gunners out there, but as a support weapon, it could work well. This could have a picture of a snipe on the side of the gun. It obviously wouldn't be used to HUNT snipe, because that's just cruel and wrong. But it could be associated with snipes, like having a snipe-sounding firing mechanism.
thats kinda weird.....using live programmed creatures like that......kinda same with how u use animals for clothing.......also kinda like using wolvers as guns............thats really awkward.......(the gun atleast)..........the bomb thing is kinda good but at the same time [weird+] ......plus, if there was a rifle that works like that, it should be a rocket laucher.....or shotgun.....
