Recently acquired an ASI High Brandish for Lockdown. Should I go with Acheron's raw DPS and hope it never gets nerfed, or opt for a status?

According to SK team's sense
According to SK team's sense of balance (yeah yeah...), a non-status weapon should have better raw damage potential than a status weapon. So with that, Acheron will be more powerful than Obsidian Edge, which should match the power of the rest of the brandishes. So I think it's a safe bet to say that even if the Acheron damage goes down, it will still do more raw damage than the other brandishes.
With that, Voltedge charge is useful in that it dismantles invincibility frames while Acheron's charge can only deal 1 hit thanks to those.
Stuck with normal attacks, Acheron profits the most from ASI while Voltedge profits from both ASI/CTR.
So, probably Acheron.

Voltedge will do more damage to Kat hats, those silly things with shadow def. B|

Acheron. Since it's ASI, it won't be better at charging than regular Brandishes. Acheron is just better in terms of combo damage since status Brandishes have no status on the combo.

I can land a charge on them and then follow up?

But the wiki says that Acheron only hits for about 40 points more, and I can't heat it all the way since Radiants...
Would Acheron still be better?

Well, you can't heat Voltedge more than you can heat Acheron. Since Acheron is so powerful, it will actually surpass Silent Nightblade at level 5 as opposed to the usual 7 or 8. That's a lot of Radiants you can save!

Base it off of your playstyle.
If you like charging on point or running aroung charging, get a voltedge .
If you actually use the combo, Acheron, AT. There, youre unstoppable.
go volt edge if you ever bother to charge, otherwise acheron generally better option, also good choice for clockworks too. Brandish, for me, is really hard to aim at lockdown. Oh well, I am not that good anyway.
