Orbs of alchemy.
Nuff said
Even though the chance of Orbs dropping for free are an objective improvement over being forced to use CE and have no chance of ever getting it for free. What a nice joke. Oh, wait. You were being serious?
--When a group of treasure boxes drops multiple useless consumables. OH BOY, TWO SLEEP VIALS, A REMEDY, AND A POISON BARRIER. THOSE SURE ARE BETTER THINGS THAN CROWNS.
--The fact that 90% of the people who have a mic don't know how to use push-to-talk. No I don't want to hear your random breathing, keyboard clacking, or the game's audio on a one-second delay, thank you. Not to mention the more unusual noises... O_O
--The absolute Spark drought I was under for a few weeks straight. All I ask for is one! Just one!
--I had another one on the tip of my tongue, but it just slipped my mind, so that's another pet peeve!
Most of mine are already covered, but here's one
Getting knocked into an activated T3 freeze trap.
Elevator sliders. People who wait until everyone else gets on the elevator to slide off of the elevator using dash or shield bash.
Peeves is obviously not my pet. I don't live at Hogwarts.
Ahem, back on topic...
-Lag. I did not see this mentioned enough, especially considering the level of memory leakery going on. To make it worse, I often use charged attacks (my main FSC set has Triglav and Vortex, with Shiver to hold enemies down while I charge Triggy), which leads me to my Chaos/Mad Bomber gear. And when you lag in Chaos/Mad... in a level full of lava tiles... with a Trig charge held so you can't immediately Remedy your fire out... sparks will roll.
-Getting a Vial/Barrier/Capsule/Whatever from the Prize Wheel on an elevator leaving a mission or entering the Core. Yes, I sure am glad I can throw that Curse Vial at absolutely nothing and put myself out if the nothing on this floor lights me on fire.
-When people complain and complain and complain about spamming bombs. Uh-oh, I've used my Nitronome five times in a row to keep people from vomiting their Gran Faust all over the point and facerolling my team! Clearly I'm a horrible person and a bitter unlikable loner, and should stop helping my team!
-"I need 4000 crowns" Not from me, you don't. In the past people might have needed some kind soul to tab them through a depth so they could afford energy, but now? Elevators are free. Don't have the crowns you need? Go into the clockworks and kick some monster [REDACTED]! (Not that I'm against charitable giving for giving's sake, of course... it's people begging for crowns that bugs me)
While I agree with Remove The Forge, I don´t think the Forge should be removed.
I´d just think crystals should drop more often, and that I would not have to do 15 Vana runs in order to get my items leveled up once.
And paying 10.00 to upgrade a 4* Item is just a pain in the ass I´ll say that.
300 or 400 fire crystals is just another large cashwall dropped by OOO in replacement for the mist tanks being removed.
I don´t mind spending money on the game I´d just rather not devote the CE I buy to go to fire crystals.
@Pdtopgun
If you want sparks just solo T1 over and over on elite, you´ll get them eventually lol.
When someone has an the aggro on trojan but runs in circles trying to get around it himself, completely forgetting that there are party members around him who can help take it down if he would just stop making the trojan spin around too.
When my shield inexplicitly fails to protect me.
Everytime I see monsters in/on a trap that would normally damage us knights.
First of all: PLEASE do another episode on this!
People who are biased towards specific gear (saying it's the best weapon to kill ...) YES im talking you Lat! All weapons have their pro's and cons.
1. When I see rookies carrying Nightblades into Candlestick Keeps. Which is why whenever I see someone in t1 or t2, I implore them to NEVER sell their 2* Caliburs, or at the very least keep them long enough to get 2 different specialized weapons, if they don't want to upgrade it.
2. When anybody uses the Polaris in a Wolver Den. If you're gonna shoot those teleporting jerks with a slow freakin' gun, at least make it a Supernova, so it actually does something when it hits. That being said, I don't hold it against them, mainly because it's possible that's their only gun. Mainly due to listening to LD players make their loadouts.
3. People who make fun of Normal damage. Aaaargh I wanna shove my Triglav up their noses and see if they still laugh.
4. When people generally act like impatient jerkwads. If I'm in an FSC run with a quiet or funny Knight Elite and a hypercompetent yet annoying "Stop Having Fun" Vanguard who decides to pick a fight with said Knight Elite, I'm more likely to kick the Vanguard, to hell with my spark budget. It's not like I ever have any anyway. That being said, I make sure to tell the Knight Elite this as a welcoming warning:" Welcome to TIER 3! Where everything hurts like hell even if you're wearing the proper armor, and death is your constant companion! 8D"
5. Lagspikes. Of course.
6. When my charge attacks get stuck in the wall behind me. Part of the reason I bring a Triglav or a Leviathan Blade to most floors.
7. Elemental-weak floors (Candlestick Keep, Concrete Jungle, No-monster box Scarlet Fortress floors) above a Treasure Vault. Oh the horror of having to take on Kleptolisks with a Magma Driver and a Rocket Hammer.... ;A;
8. Getting roasted alive with my Fang of Vog. Unless it's in Lockdown, where I assume it prevents my foes from getting my heart drop. >:D
Other than that, SK is pretty much great fun. Community's mostly nice, even in Lockdown, considering I've seen far worse in other PVP games. Gameplay is loads of fun when I don't play during the bad wi-fi hours at night, and nobody's perfect, so I can't really hold it against people who bring the wrong equipment. Especially since most of them only get the Nightblades for RJP, and most of them don't know it's far cheaper and more flexible to maintain a normal damage sword, gun and bomb than it is to get one of every weapon and damage type, and it's easier to get specialized weapons AFTER you're already Tier 3 rated.
People who bump month-old threads
People who disable voice chat (or refuse to use steam)
People who are in tier 3 yet still don't know how weakness or resistance work, and/or only have one loadout.
Wolver clones (at least wear a costume!)
People who insist that Azure Guardian/Aegis are good sets just because the recipe is free
People who beg for sparks
People who spam trades in /zone even though there's /trade and spamming is against the rules.
People who have 3+ accessories and 3 uvs on everything they have equipped
People who only played the game for the tf2 hat, then immediately quit without really giving the game a chance
People who derp around, die, and waste everyone's time with bad gear and no skill with the excuse "stop being a tryhard"
People who refuse to pick up minerals, thereby screwing the whole team out of them
EDIT: oh yeah and stuff other than "people":
The fact that there's bugs that OOO hasn't fixed in over 3 years
Poorly balanced weapons and/or armor
lag spikes and freezes
Seeing the same stratum theme over and over
Compounds being in nearly every depth
Radiants are STILL stupidly rare
Constant pointless cosmetic pay-only promos
I just can't stand people with unmatching costumes like a Skolver Cap on a Snarb Coat or Toasty (or Heavy, don't remember) Dragon Wings on Arcane Salamander Set. NO, just NO!!!! Don't do that. I mean I'm not a super fashion specialist and i don't want everybody to be one but i think you gotta have a simple and basic understanding that some styles or costumes fit together and some don't.
Let me list the biggest ones of mine. Some may be taken, but it still doesn't change the fact that it drives me nuts!
5. Getting hit through my shield because I put it up half a millisecond before getting hit.
4. When I remember that Shivermisting Wolvers doesn't work too well.
3. Getting stunned by anything.
2. Those particular Clockwork traps that delete boxes. Yeah, you know the ones. Those anti-rush and anti-orb traps.
1. Getting kicked from a party because I have Ironmight Plate on. You have no idea how many times this has happened. Unless you actually use Plate Mail too, because it's the entire Guardian class. Not just the Ironmight set.
I have a couple of annoyances with this game that have gotten on my nerves for awhile now. Please correct me if none of these peeves are true.
-I am tired of all these recent costume updates. I would love to have new armor, weapons or even new levels for SK, but all we get are useless costume choices set at ridiculous prices with a chance of only getting one part of the costume. At least make some SEGA-themed costumes in this game. I would grind the crap out of this game for a Blaze the Cat or Sonic's Sonic Rider outfit.
-I want to know why there aren't any secret exits in ANY of the levels. Everyone knows that the level design is based off of Legend of Zelda 1's design, so I can't understand why there are no secrets in-between the levels. It feels as if there is no point in exploring the level in the first place, because you know everything is out in the open. You just gotta run to it.
-The same level themes over and over again. With artwork this beautiful, I don't get how they couldn't create interesting or really awesome themes for the levels. OOO could mix up the themes if they're can't make some up.
-More hub towns. Really creates the illusion that there's more exploration in this game then it really has.
-More backstory on the lore and story of SK. I'm really interested in learning the story about this game.
I'm pretty sure I have some more, but I can't remember right now. I really do love this game, but sometimes I wonder if the people at OOO really care about this game anymore. I hope that SK gets the boost it really needs someday, so it can be the awesome MMO that we all know it is.
1. Players who don't immediately get on the button for the final arena on Depth 26, whether to heal or wait on the spikes to drop.
2. Begging for whatever.
3. Waiting for arcade floors to change to the arenas (5 - 10mins).
It's a team fight. You are supposed to be aware of the other players around you, predict and adjust. And that is regardless of whatever weapons they are using (unless it is Leviathon :/). You can ask them them to moderate the use early if you notice the spamming.
So, if you are dying from friendly fire more than on a rare occasion, then clearly you are more a solo player. And your lack of "team-foresight" is your own fault. Learn to evolve.
Treasure boxes and treasure rooms that troll you
Trying to play using catalyzers
Trying to bomb with brandish users
When 6 treasure boxes all drop heat, when heat is more useless that consumables at this point.
hate ppl using mastermixer in ld
when you're in t2 and someone goes
"im carrying you noob so I expect payment per floor" as they die over and over
im great at lockdown my team is just bad" heard that yesterday from someone who only focused on damage
mini jellies not having proper damage for slimes
when my warmaster rocket hammer doesnt flinch enemies like it does for everyone else (really I haven't seen it flinch once)
When people necrobump threads......
I like to use the mixmaster in lockdown (if I even bother to play it) because it makes it incredibly obvious how unfair that minigame really is. It's easy to pretend that lockdown is somehow a fair and balanced experience when it's just UVs, trinkets, revives and attainable gear, but when you've got someone with a weapon that you cannot access without paying a million crowns for.... it just feels so awful. It really makes me feel empowered, doing that to people.
also it can shoot into locker rooms preventing healing (and escape) if u stand against the door
"behind the scene changes"
Going to the Technical Issues sub forum, realizing that it isn't in the general section.
