After years playing this game, it's finally time to say farewell. I've never been a fan of goodbye threads, so I'd like for this one to be a Thank-You thread, dedicated to the team behind Spiral Knights and all the players over the years who made the adventures so memorable. Let's see if we can make this thread one of the more positive topics in General Discussion. :)

For those interested, I've put a goodbye blog here: http://jemgaming.net/forums/content.php?361-Congratulations-on-110-conse...!

To sum up, it's been an amazing, wild ride these last three and a half years. Thank you all for making it so exciting, whether you were a friend in SK, a rival, or just waving from the sidelines - and thank you OOO for creating a game we won't ever forget.

Take care, everyone - and thank you!

Thanks

Thanks for creating a great game and community, OOO. The adventures through the clockworks were incredible. The battlefields of gvg were harrowing. Despite the adversity, it's been a great ride. From Minions to speed runs, flash mobs, and more, what made me stay was the community. It's been great watching everyone support each other and grow.

Thanks also to Ruby for leading The Jempire. Your focus on honor and integrity created a fantastic environment where everyone felt welcome. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Three Rings, thanks for

Three Rings, thanks for putting together this little game we've called home for the past few years, lots of epic matches of Lockdown and trying to hold onto first was the only thing that kept me coming back, but I can say more about this game than many other AAA game titles out there, so well done. If I could give you guys any advice, it'd be to focus on improving Lockdown, it's the highlight of the game. To the community, I hope you continue to enjoy the game! Myself, as well as other guild mates, have expended our time here and are moving onto other games, I'll be interested to see who takes first every week. Take care. :)

You know, I've played Spiral

You know, I've played Spiral Knights since 2011 and I'm not good at goodbyes.

Spiral Knights has been a place where I have met many friends, an amazing guild, and of course a game unlike any I played before it.
I am grateful for the times I've had here, the people I've met, and all of the adventures I've had.

I started Spiral Knights as a Knight named "Kuger" back in April, 2011. I started a guild, met some friends, and greatly enjoyed this game. From there however long later I ended up the test server as a knight named "Jupiter" where I met The Jempire.
In my time I've seen this game evolve and grow up (remember that time before auction house even existed?), I've witnessed every promo, every update, and it has kept me entertained for several years.

However, I feel it may be time to move on. Spiral Knights will always be a game I admire, and it has encouraged me into attempting to make my way into the game industry where I can only hope to make a game half as successful.
I hope future players will have as much fun as I had. Unfortunately it's time for me to move on to new games.

So with that being said, I would like to say Thank you to Three Rings for the fun times I've had over the last several years, and best of luck to your future.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

As I say say goodbye to a

As I say say goodbye to a game that has been a part of my life for four years. I would like to finalize all my thoughts about my experience of SK as a whole. When i started i met one of the coolest people ever named Lestatshadow. That brit was like my british twin, we were two peas in a pod. Then he left for a while and i joined Knightmare, a guild where Chris and Emily people i only knew about in legend took me in and accepted me and Lestat later one into their community. Here i met some awesome people including Emily, Kingbowser, Tom-Awsm, Dukthepiper, Jirobub, Killing-Intent, Timbalero, Season, Ailment, Snarkey, and Kennys-Knight. And then, Well here’s my end of the story of the Fall of Knightmare as a guild. Mainly cause some of the members of KM wanted to leave because we didn't agree with Chris’ way of leading. So we left and made Perfect Storm a new guild that was set to be a contender with the others. We had a blast, we would OovoO video chat every night it seemed like back when SK made content on a regular basis. And im glad we left because i knew that i was gonna play with these guys till the end. Around this time Agazide invited me to come work on the Spiralsnipes blog. We became the number one SK related site, Said by Nick himself, and i had a blast working with Tovvok, Ailment, Shennynerd, Tevvokia, El-Sato, Happy, Red, Trydeth, Latisan, and Kellnox. Sadly Perfect Storm though in this time, one by one each of them left, with Timba, me, and Emily as the only members of PS left. Timba went to other guilds but me and Emily decided to go to Jempire.

I already had an incredible amount of Jempire friends before i joined. Kyo, Sooth, Mawa, Leo, Ruby, Bacon, Mini, Xair, Huntr, and Aga. But when i joined i had no idea what i was getting into. But i regret nothing. The Jempire is my home away from home online now. Helping the 2nd half of the first year of consecutive LD champs. Meeting some of the raddest, most talented, entertaining individuals that conjure this dysfunctional family we have. Meeting some of them IRL in New York City as we adventure around looking for Pizza. Understanding that this is normal in this day of age that people can game online together and make a community so tight that meeting each other IRL just feels like another day but with more Pizza and getting kicked out of McDonalds.

I thank SK for all the good times and friends that its given me. That one…..”game” could bring us all together as a community and play a multitude of game together having and still having a blast every day.

Thank you SK

PS: Ronard, WHO ARE YOU!?

I remember when I first saw

I remember when I first saw Haven.

I had just come in from the starter missions, and had been amused by the cute little lizards and robots.

It was a strange world of contradictions, filled with swords and lasers, and gears in the sky...

At that point, anything was possible.

Thank you OOO for all the memories!

Goodbye

Thank you OOO for creating Spiral Knights, and such an amazing community. When I first started, some steam friend had dragged me in because he wanted to get his steam bonus, but i stayed for the awesome art style and awesome game-play. After a few weeks, i had made some friends, and worked my way into my first guild. Exileddread took me under his wing, and after a few months, the guild parted ways. I moved into Exalt, and met many of the friends I have today. After about a year and a half there, I finally settled in The Jempire. The people of the Jempire were some of the nicest people I had ever met, and it would not have been possible without OOO's awesome game. Thank you all for such an amazing experience, and I wish you all the best in your future adventures. Goodbye Spiral Knights.

A farewell

I remember the time that I had JUST joined Jempire. I was totally oblivious to what stood ahead of me, and I gotta say that I'm happy that I didn't. I
was doing about 2k average damage and maybe 1 or 2 caps. Now? 15k 9 or 10 caps. Jempire was probably the best thing that had ever happened to me
in Spiral Knights. Me and Theioden had been friends since we merged Luminous and Lords of War into Light of Darkness. Both GMs in the guild and
both the motivation and glue of the guild. We both left knowing that Light of Darkness was a lost cause. I left the game for 4 months. I came back to see
that Theio had joined jempire. I applied after a month of him nagging me about it, and thank god he did. I've loved my time in the Jempire so far and I
hope that I can continue in this guild through good and bad times.

Bye!

I've had a lot of fun inventing my own gameplay using only bombs as well as inventing bomb strategies in pvp. Before I knew it, I've put in so many hours playing with old friends and made a bunch of new friends in the process. With that, thanks for the crazy bomb filled adventures!

A JAR FAREWELL!

As one jar closes another one opens :) I've made some great friends and had some awesome times on spiral knights. The memories we spent playing and bonding in the dungeons and in pvp were memorable. We stuck together as a guild but more importantly it felt like a family. The times we spent farming Vanaduke and gambling our ce away for that super rare asi vh were some of the best. I've never met a group as awesome as the people I have met, and for that I will be forever grateful to this game. Game on spiral knights!

It's been fun!

From first meeting a crazy lady in haven who gave my first snipe hat, to the first time I've killed Vanaduke.

When we had a crazy spinning Australian Elmo impersonator get thrown down a set of stairs by a rainbow.

All the misadventures we've had in real life as well, eating sushi, getting kicked out of a Mc Donalds, to having those damn drinking games, (and don't get me started on the pasta).

Meeting all of these awesome people, sometimes it was bittersweet when they had to go but we have all been richer in life for meeting.

This wouldn't have been possible without spiral knights, thank you to all the OOO members for making a game I enjoyed, and for letting me meet all these amazing people.

To the rest of the spiral knights community I wish you all the best of luck, take care everyone.

And to Ronard-McDonard, i will never forget your words, "Stop cry".

Thanks!

Playing SK for the first couple of weeks was probably some of the most fun I’ve had in games. When I first saw the trailer all I saw was 2D Zelda co-op, but I found so much more. Those shiny new clockworks all waiting to be explored and that music… It also was the way I met Jempire and all the amazing people in it! Then Lockdown was released and provided a really fun multiplayer experience that was a real joy to play with friends and Jempire. The fact that SK made me play a mmo, a genre which I typically don’t touch, is really a testament to its greatness.

Thanks OOO for the awesome game and I wish you all the best for the future!

I honestly didn't know what

I honestly didn't know what to expect from this guild when I first applied for it back in 2012. At the time I wasn't even aware that The Jempire were dominating the leader boards, wasn't that much into LD back then. After that... well, it's been one crazy, fun ride with all of you. We've had our ups and downs, but we stuck through it all, as a real community should. I personally intend to stick around SK for a while longer and help keep your legacy strong. After all, this is but the end of another chapter in The Jempire's book of adventures, and the opening of a brand new one! So whatever may come in the your future, never forget the fun memories you've made here alongside all of us :)

Sorry for undermining the purpose of this thread. I haven't played spirals knights for a long time but I still have great memories of the people in Jempire. Kuger your one of the coolest guys I met in spiral knights, and jeez ruby I been so impressed with how you built such an amazing and long lasting guild in Jempire. You are legend man, of course you had some great people help you build it, ruyter and countless others. I was hoping to see you guys if I ever got back into the game. Regardless you guys gave the game everything you had, and I wish you all very best. Nice to see Njthug still doesn't miss a chance to troll :) at least that hasn't left yet.

Man, this game...

So many memories from day one. When guildless, I would help all of those in need of going on runs since I had the CE to tab people every depth. Then I joined Corps Meltdown. I started to obtain tons of knowledge about the game. It became instantly better because of the people that made it fun. This was the same when moving to Unity, then The Jempire... I was insanely active. I felt like I was playing an entirely different game. I was having an amazing time playing the game for so long. But alas, every story must come to an end. Now a new story begins. Thank you Spiral Knights.

Was nice to see a guild that held different events and such for their members (and others) as this crew did.

These are little memories I have of The Jempire:
- I remember you guys holding races and other events back in the Arcade.
- The Pastry Chefs, my first guild (mostly made of friends IRL), had a fun time playing GvG Blast Network vs the Jempire back in the day (seemed to be a "ruby stole my cookies!" event), and it was nice to see you pushing good sportsmanship back then. Thanks for being part of that.

On a more personal note:
@Kuger: You probably forgot about me because you deleted me after I disappeared for months (LOL, no worries, I expected it), but you gave me a Pepperbox in 2011 at the end of an FSC run. I am still not done heating this thing XD. Good luck on your inspiration of getting into the game industry - make your own thing, your own projects on the side! You'll be happier for it ;)

Thanks for playing, guys!
