My guildie Laxiuspower left a screenie of the player leaderboards at the end of last week. I think this says a lot as it means the weekly amount of LD players is probably around 2500. The question is, how many are active LD players as opposed to people who just play one or two games and never play again?
Either way, the numbers don't mean much so long as we don't have any numbers on the activity of players in general, which we don't have. I do wonder what that might be.

You guys don't really dominate LD I can tell. Some of you only go for damage/caps. I always aim to win. Stats = Nada. Also undefeated in gvg i participated in.

and winning = nada. Ranking? don't care, terribly set up. Rewards? Nonexistant. Satisfaction? Only until you find out that it's impossible to carry a 6-man team, and you winning had more to do with the RNG of the team picker than your individual skill. You can't dominate a game with no purpose.
