The chat system is bare bones basic, like it has just been left as-is since the game was first made. Which isn't terrible, but should be updated with some more basic features that most MMO's have. These would be great to have:

Chat tabs
- Seperate Guild chat, Area chat, party chat, private chat, etc

Chat options
- Turn off item drop notifications
- Clicking on names to bring up options like tell ect.
- Clicking up arrow to bring up previous post
- Enable copy/paste

Mail options
- Block Guild invites
- Block friend requests (Or make it a notification like trade requests)

Just some basic stuff you know? I'll update this list as/if I remember any more things that I haven't mentioned. But this would be nice, yeah?

Yes to everything but if it's been suggested a lot in the past and hasn't happened... why should it happen now?

It won't but there's nothing

It won't but there's nothing against wishful thinking.

Also for some reason this forum doesn't save my formatting, that's probably why you thought all of those were separate points rather than being sub points and main points.

oh god yes...

YES PLEASE rework this STUPID chat system, It was a good idea at the time, a quick patch n' what not, but that chat system has been around since the BETA, and its sooooooo annoying to have to do "/w (charactername)(message)" every time not only that but its worse when you have multiple people to talk too on top of that!

so +1 a idea that was needed YEARS ago.

Straight-Line
I like this idea but let me guess

You got this from Elsword (you also can block certain types of notifications in that game). The game (and other games) have everything you listed too.

EDIT: did not know a lot of other games had chat tabs and the works too. Also you can click on a knight and you have the tell option. Just saying it saves the hassle of typing in or remebering the whole name. Also you can press the up arrow key at the start of new chat command and it'll remeber wat command you used last (if any)

Elsword?

Elsword isnt that old Straight-Line, infact its quiet new of a game in comparison to SK. The best chat system I've seen out of a old game that I know, which isnt around anymore, is "Trickster Online", which was recently closed down in the NA region... They divided each chat block accordingly, with ignore features.

The game was released in 2003, introduced to the US in 2006, recently closed in 2013 in the US, and 2014 for the Korean game publishing site, its chat system was ahead in its time, where each chat block was divided with tabs like Area, Zone, Guild, Private, Close (for nearby secret chats to a group), Party and so on. The system also had ignore features that didnt involve adding people to your friends list and taking up space, though since this game already has a ignore system, they can probably incorporate it into the chat system.

Btw Elsword was developed by KoG Studios, the same people who developed Grand Chase, and Elsword is nothing more than a upgraded version of "Grand Chase". (ive played all of these games)

Can we block friend requests too please?
I'd also love to be able to COPY WHAT PEOPLE SAY. Like, if someone says a URL, let us copy it so we don't have to type it out in the browser.
Otherwise, +1 to all of it.

Updated, forming a party that

Updated, forming a party that lasts after a dungeon and through haven would be great for those of us who like to do multiple missions in a row but I don't think it counts as a chat feature. Though it'd make the party chat tab a lot more useful.
