Not that I'm feeling the inclination to join on the all-undead project, but if deliberate player action rather than random depositing made an all-undead gate, would the devs change it then?
My impression is the devs only alloy when the mineral distribution in the average T1 gate and in the Jelly King gate are similar and cause the next few gets to be identical. They've broken up -accidental- uniform gates. Breaking up deliberate uniform gates would be very different.
(And I'd want my minerals refunded if they alloyed a strata I'd tried to influence!)
I think I'll keep saving my minerals for now though, I have no need for an all-undead gate.

if players werent meant to influence the gate creation why put it in, in the first place?

the new system might have changed things...
With how the gates are set-up now, it looks like auto-sell will try to even everything out, instead of causing the stratum issues we had previously. Not sure, but I'm thinking the alloying of gates should be minimized with that.
I'm all for undead gates, but you also need to remind people NOT to put in... blue, I think? Whatever the antithesis for undead is. I'm pretty sure it's blue. Anyways, if that's 3rd highest, you get a random gate instead, which would be unfortunate.
Even if the stratums were all Undead for long enough, you'd see the mods change it.
