people "stuck" in tier 2 or four star gear REALLY needa stop complaining about the difficulty in getting 5* gear. Sorry to OOO, but i have not spent a penny on this game in the month-ish ive played and have managed to do well for myself. I got 1 5* equip the past two weeks. Before the patch this rate would have been halved or more thanks to the lower CE fcost and the ability to just buy what i want instantly, but seriously guys... 5* gear should not be easy! yah, you could get all 5* in a month without spending anything but that is extremely counterproductive: it is the full 5* people taht ACTUALLY have something to complain about.
this game does not cater to the 5* YET, as it is relatively new and the speed at which peopel became 5* was not anticipated by OOO so endgame content was not made fast enough.
but anyways, 5* is hard, but not impossible. and once you get all 5* then you can complain, but until then deal with the costs and stop complaining
I don't think the complaint is that making 5* gear costs more, but that it costs more -CE- instead of more crowns or materials.
It certainly makes me less likely to buy CE for money when I get less than half the crafting out of it than I would have before.
Getting all 5* gear as a free player is a fair bit of grinding, but it's not even -hard- (once you're in 4* gear at least). It's just time consuming. Jelly run rinse repeat, hope for arenas and danger rooms on the way.
