Hi I am a user of a MacBookPro. A little over a year ago a patch or something came and i could no longer launch the game. i stopped trying until recently when my friend started playing it. I reinstalled it but I still get the same result. What happens is the window(which isnt full screen if that helps) will flash white for 1 second then simply close, this doesn't even give me a crash message. I guess I'm just surprised that even after a year the devs still havent fixed this. If your going to make fun of me for owning a mac stfu because i got it before i was into gaming. if i had the money i would immediately switch. so any suggestions? devs you there? help!

from a disabled knight,
elazer

Erm...

1. Move this thread to the "technical issues" subforum.
2. Read this.
3. Post the error message as well as the information in the link above.

Well that's nice. Did it also come into your mind that it can also be related to YOUR Mac/Hardware/Software? I'm fairly sure the issue is not on OOO's end since I had 3 Macs, which I all hated though that's my opinion, where the game worked and I'm fairly certain many Mac users will agree.

Also, yes. This belongs in the Technical Issues sub-forum.

Are you using standalone

Are you using standalone spiral knights or the browser based one? The versions for mac weren't updated right, and you might need to follow instructions at http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/97074#comment-874308

Supposedly it was patched but when I downloaded the dmg a month ago it looks like the initial mac installer wasn't patched with the security attribute. It seems the patch comes in after the sk updater runs. So a possible catch-22 problem.

Your easiest bet is downloading steam and using the steam client version. If you want to use your standalone account not connected to steam just uncheck login with steam when it starts. This is because the installer for spiral on steam was updated with the recent patches, while the standalone on this site was not last month (haven't reverified this month).
