The Final Flourish, the Daring Rigadoon or the Furious Flamberge? (I mean in damage; like between Leviathan and Cold Iron Vanquisher, where Leviathan deals more damage average than CIV)

Since many people know a lot about these swords I decided I might also ask for the Brandish, but more "specifically":
My question is, which is the best 5* Brandish to use for the Citadel maps?

Thanks again to all the players who answered; as for the Flourish I decided I'd go for a Final Flourish because it simply has higher "average" damage than the others, just like the damage gap between Levi and CIV!

Final Flourish by a long

Final Flourish by a long shot. Flamberge doesn't make up for the loss of damage with its fire (and some enemies can't be set on fire, negating that possibility) and stun is kind of meh, making the Rigadoon sub-par at best.

Noted, thought I'd straightly take the first answer as choice, so I'll go for the Final Flamberge! Thanks a lot Gwen!

I'm going for the Rigadoon,

I'm going for the Rigadoon, since stun is one of, if not the, best status affects and it has a GOLD blade!

I use the Rigadoon-series,

I use the Rigadoon-series, personally.

In my opinion it's only between the Flamberge and Rigadoon in the Flourish-series to choose from since the Final Flourish is ''plain''. There's no added chance of anything on it.

Plain is sometimes a very healthy choice. I love my Final Flourish. <3

@StarCadet

Except when it has the same speed and attack as the other two options, why choose the one that doesn't add anything extra to help you?

That's how I see it.

prefer rigadoon, although i

prefer rigadoon, although i havent done a graveyard in a while, the rigadoon was great for phantoms. fast attack, and it usually stunned the phantom enough it didnt get a shot in.
only prob i had was holding down autoaim while i attacked, since its switch off most the time.
havent tried the rest yet, dont feel i need to.

Uh

@Loki
It adds damage. Fire is useless at citadel which is where I mostly use my Final Flourish.
I thought about going Rigadoon to stun Duke, but suspected the damage gap would too big to miss. We need some actual numbers.

Final Flourish

Final Flourish has about a bar more piercing damage than the Rigadoon or Flamberge series.

Regular attacks on the Final Flourish against wolvers on the last stratum of tier3 land around 260-320 damage in Vog gear per thrust/slash hit. Charged attacks rip through a line of beasts and gremlins at around 400-550 per multiple thrust, slash. A crowd of Wolvers or Gremlins become dead before a charged attack completes itself. Thus, if your monsters are weak or neutral to piercing damage, they will be mostly dead before a status effect kicks in. If you have a good IAS or CTR UV, then you just kill those monster types at an insane rate. Just beware of spikes and brambles.

Final. Status effects aren't

Final. Status effects aren't worth the difference between the damages

@ eek5

Shows how powerful the flourish line is against weak/neutral monsters when a 4* version can out perform a level 10 Leviathan. Some weapons are plain overkill on the right monsters. A conclusion can be made that the flourish line will overkill the right monsters well before any status effect kicks in. I wasn't expecting that kind of high numbers myself as I initially made my first flourish to match my Regalia costume. I already have my trusty level 10 Leviathan and CIV and a bunch of other swords.

For the Citadel map do NOT

For the Citadel map do NOT use Acheron or Combuster. The undead in the Citadel resists shadow damage from Acheron and as the name Firestorm Citadel suggests, the monsters there are all fire types so the added status effect of fire of the Combuster is useless. So the best option is to use Glacius to freeze them and hit them.

Thanks EliteChamp, that

Thanks EliteChamp, that confirms what I thought in the first place; I actually also use a Leviathan and plan to get that Final Flourish, because I noticed just recently that some swords deal "big damages" (written in yellow with a star on the background, what a sharp description xD), and so I thought it would probably be the same for Brandish series sword, because they also deal elemental damage, as opposed to Levi/Final Flourish.
I'll just check other opinions but I'm pretty sure yours' the right one!

The problem with freeze (ie,

The problem with freeze (ie, Glacius) is that you only maximize the damage from it by letting the freeze "shatter" of its own accord. It's good for holding them there, but that additional damage is usually broken by another player (see also: shivermist buster).

I'd actually recommend a DA (which is excellent on Vanaduke) or a Leviathan Blade over the brandish series for FSC. In anything but FSC, I'd recommend the Combuster (fire brandish). I made one and love it. :)

What made me hesitate between

What made me hesitate between the DA and Glacius is that DA got low ATK speed, whereas Glacius got a reasonable speed (I compare those two swords because they both got normal+elem damages); and since I don't use full Vog Cub set (I use Vog Cub hat+Skolver coat) I hesitate a bit to chose DA. I also already have a Leviathan, which so far helped me beating tons of hard levels thanks to its crazy charge attack.
I think I'll make both to just make the comparison later and see which one is the best :3. I'm not in a hurry to get all that anyway!
Thanks for the opinion Elegies!

Attack speed...

The attack speed of DA is lower, but realize that it's a heavy sword. The knock-back can be a life saver, once you're used to it. I have a preference for the slow swords, though, so take my advice with a grain of salt. To get an idea of what it's like to use one without dropping big time/money, try a Troika. Same speed, similar range (the big swords also have some notable AOE) and you'll get some idea of damage output if you compare to a Calibur.

Otherwise, what they said. Acheron is good if you just want a shadow weapon, or Gran Faust for the fun possibility of cursing enemies (watching menders suicide from curse is great) and to help spread heat around your allies when you are silly enough to use the charge attack. Or maybe that last bit is just me, and is generally on purpose. Meh.
