I want the elemental one, since fire was always a bad status for me since I am half chaos.
The normal one has high normal defense (The most used attack type by enemies)
The shadow one has shadow defense which could help along with normal defense.
The elemental one has elemental defense, and resists shock and fire (I think?)
The piercing one resists piercing, stun, and something else I think.
I should probably get the Grand-Tortoise but I don't know. My current shield is the Volcanic Plate, but I know I'll get rid of it after I get the torto shields probably.

Out of all of them, I would suggest Gorgomega because it's the only shield that can fill the niche of being able to endure a Silversap hit due to the immunty to Stun and Freeze.

Unfortunately, I feel as though the others aren't really a good niche as the Gorgomega just because all their status types are strange unless they plan on adding more levels later.

*There are no levels currently in the game that supports Fire and Freeze together so the Omegaward is kinda a failure in this part. This Niche can easily be filled up by the other shields which are easier to get and do not have Movement Speed: Decreased.
*The Savage Tortoise could theoretically be used in Compound 42 but Dragon Scale is easily better for this.
*Grand Tortoise is only worth it if you don't have Volcanic Plate Shield or Ancient Plate Shield but even then, Movement Speed Decrease: Low isn't really a strong standing point.

What happens to the Omega Shell now that there's these new Tortodrone shields? Is it gonna become obsolete to the Grand Tortoise?

Get 112 ancient shells and craft all your shields with your ancient shells.

But there was an event mission that does have fire and freeze, but not here in SK currently. Grinchlin Assault.

Collect 112 Shell pieces, make shells later when you feel it's relevant. I wouldn't bother crafting them now, seeing how the Event Alchemy machine is a permanent thing.

Grinchlin assault is a possible use for Omegaward but what with the movement speed decrease, I probably wouldn't bring it, as mobility seemed more important than being able to tank some extra damage with a shield.

@Sonusuke
Omega Shell is more average 5* normal resistance, increased health, whereas from the stats at least the new shields fall more in line with the plate shield lines with increased damage resistance/regular shield health. Also, Omega Shell doesn't have the movement speed decrease.

Hm...

I'm stuck between Gorgomega, and the Savage tortoise.
Gorgomega has shadow resist, but that doesn't appear too much does it? The shadow turrets, gorgos, and greavers use it I think.
The only thing keeping me with the Savage tortoise, is that it has shock resist, which is a good thing since shock is a problem for me.
Which one? I am thinking of Gorgo, but I'm not too sure.

I would personally go for savage tortoise before any of the others, if only because of its shock+piercing combination.

Then, if you like the attack style-- because it is different and objectively negative if you don't use the charge-- it would be a decent idea to craft the rest of the new shields, so as to utilize that style of gameplay wherever you would so choose.

I personally prefer Gorgomega because:
> STUN RESIST!! At least you can now block Trojan smash better than before.
> It is a great shield on Heart of Ice.
> Also a great shield on the upcoming tier 3 boss which is most likely fiend.
