So Jempire finally implodes or takes a hike or rifts on out the door or whatever, and now there's already another guild playing with an alt guild? What's up with that? And who are these guys?

As one farm guild falls, another rises to take it's place. It's the circle of life :)

The main focus for us playing AoA is guild training, not to farm points. AoA wins probably more frequently than TE does. True, we get points from it but the main focus is to teach and introduce the newer members to LD. And ofcourse we want to be No. 1. I guess it all just fits in.

Wow. I'm really impressed.

I just checked out their website: http://the-exceeds.go-forum.net/

and their recruitment thread: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/89027

and I have to say I'm very impressed - inspired, even.

Yes, Aesn is clearly an experienced, mature, and well-organized Guild Master. And yes, in his seriousness and clear enthusiasm for the game, he does sound a lot like Ruby. Let's just hope the similarities end there and Exceeds becomes the kind of leading LD guild the community can feel good about.

Thanks for the compliments but Im not a GM, and certainly not Ruby.
Hopefully nobody will hate us too much as we try to keep No 1.

Exceeds have been playing with their alts since before we retired. Pretty sure 21 has played with an alt guild a few times as well. Heck, I played with alt guilds two years ago in Aeonic Doom.

Oh no you don't.

Bothering Jempire was annoying enough, but now your messing with the guild I'm in. Mawa, I'm sick and tired of your immature behavior, and inability to leave others alone. A lot of people actually have resentment for you(Guilty as charged), and you have made enemies. Just stop making your guild look bad, and shut it.

Can somebody please explain

Can somebody please explain to me why they decline my invitations to GvG every single time now, even though they've never beaten us once!?! What are you guys training (farming) for if you never play any real matches!?!

there's really nothing else that needs to be said on that subject, but if people don't want to gvg at the moment then suck it up cupcake; the game's not played on your schedule exclusively

there's your explanation, i'm going to the store to get groceries for the week

I know but when you see them

I know but when you see them farming constantly, and then you get declined 7 times in a row on different occasions, you come to wonder a little. Why?

I could be taking a shot into

I could be taking a shot into the dark here but maybe they play against each other for fun ? I certainly know its more fun to play againsts your friends rather than some randomers... Also they want to train so they probably employ different strategies etc every match. If the match is against themselves they got the freedom and fun rather than the stress of the real match.. So here's my theory of why they never played you or kept denying you

Post #24 is spot on. Playing with an alt guild is a great way to get others playing as well. People notice, people go omg farmpire nubs r farming points lets stop them and suddenly there's real GLD going on.

@Dragonuity
Try not asking. Just get a team up when they're playing.

They just want points, not training. On Sunday I did 2 gvgs with Exceeds for the Hispanic 2vs2 Tournament.
Of course I told to them ''Don't cap'' to get more time for the 2vs2, I told it like 5 times and they didn't stop capping.
If they want to train, they could watch the 2vs2, make the gvg infinite and do 1vs1 after the 2vs2, or just leave the game and go to ''train''. But no.
There is a video of the 2vs2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3RB2rKvWt8
The first time that they fought, the 2 guys of Shadow Overlords were winning and one of Exceeds killed them. Just pathetic. Can't be compared with the friendly gvgs with Jempire or another 1vs1

This has probably been suggested before.

I imagine it would be more fun to play intra-guild matches with your guildmates.

A guild should be allowed to form more than one team at a time. Then a guild could form two teams from within their guild and play each other, preferably with the ability to set our own number of members on each team.

And such matches would not be awarded any points, just crowns, and therefore, would not advance the guild up the leaderboard.

Alt guilds would then be completely unnecesary and bogus.

Exceeds is good in all ways, but no one actually cares about GVG, and people never respond in guild chat, so we miss a lot of GVG because of that.

How can you be a good guild in all ways if the recruits ignore their companions? And... Aesn says that farming is to ''introduce the new members to lockdown' and later you say that nobody cares about gvg. GG Exceeds

Why do people care if someone fights an alt guild though? It doesn't even effect you and they're just having fun. Even if they're farming, does it really matter? You know what you get for being #1 on the Leaderboards? Nothing. The Leaderboard is mostly an indication of who plays more, not who's the most skilled. I expect veterans of this game to realize that and let trivial matters like this slide, yet people complain every day about the same thing. Most players already know who the best guilds and players in the game are anyways, so letting a lower level guild have a bit of fun, thinking they're really great, shouldn't bug you as much as it is. At the end of the day, this is just a game.

@Manlit Pretty sure most

@Manlit
Pretty sure most people that play lockdown know leaderboards mean squat HOWEVER, I've met many players who rarely play lockdown or don't play it at all that think it's quite impressive for a guild to be on the leaderboards. So technically they are just farming their way up to glory there. Also leaderboards don't just show activity, it shows the amount of success guilds get in guild lockdown. The guild that always wins will surpass the ones the rarely win most definitely and by them fighting their own guild they are just you know, raising their score in a dirty way.

.

I am a member of the Exceeds and here's the answer:

1. Yes, we do play against each other for fun
2. When we play against each other in our alt guild, we are testing strategy for when we play against other guilds.
3. We do accept challenges but most of the time we are doing Vana so we ignore or we wait for a GM to approve

Further questions?

"Testing strategy", Yeah

"Testing strategy",
Yeah right. Because a strategy is going to definitely work if the other team KNOWS about it. You test strategy against other guilds and not your own. Also, it's funny to see how Exceeds and not the alt guild win like 90% of the time. Because if you guys were just testing strategy then your alt would win a lot too... since you know, the people in the alt are ment to be getting "trained" as well. Or do you guys think it's best to pit all the new players against the guys who are strong from the beginning and then demolish them for a few weeks until they quit ?

....

you guys suck~ and btw good job mawa, here some cookies for you :D
i tell you guys something about exceed even i'm not exceed member again because i left to become pro spammer in ld
first, about training~
exceed not train people by what you guys thinking now.. but they make them to adapt lAAgdown environment and giving them free strategy which mean they can do whatever they want in training~ not just that, this training introduce exceed newbie member to play in lockdown.
and for those who state exceed just want to get point, they wrong~ when in training exceed main team not always win against angel... we just randomly sent people from exceed to angel (if there have enough people to do it) and winning is depend on team itself~ ahh i remember that day when i killing my own gm and winning angel triple time, well it was fun.
sometime we accept gvg and sometime not when we don't have good ld player online or when all people are busy on doing vana and etc.
but why we prefer ld training than real gvg? simple~ not all of us are those people who have good connection and good uv like other pro guild have which is one of those who always ask us to do gvg everytime... and if we accept when our good player not loggin, what for? to get beaten and played like a doll? i'm more enjoyed in training than when gvg with other guild because i know they're all my mate in guild.

Alt guilds are actually more

Alt guilds are actually more of a common occurrence than you are making them out to be, Mawa. Wolfpack Party had an alt guild for GvG, and my former guild, Elegance, had an oxymoron rhyming alt guild called Elephants. My current guild also has an alt guild for in house GvG. After all, it's the only way you can compete against your guild members.

'cus tonight, is the niiiight. When 2 become 1...

It's more fun waiting for RLD to die on the EU server and getting your guild to queue in together resulting in no point boosts & no butthurt. Of course eventually you get the odd random from other guilds joining in on the fun too but it's never bad. (Lookin' atchoo Achy / Krakky / Dovis)

Randomised teams every game = So much more fun than playing the same people over n over.

(sidenote: custom lobbies please.)

People are more butthurt when facing others. You should try freeze-locking a couple of people in a guild where Skolver sets aren't very common and see how they react.

Interesting

@Dragonuity You're pretty funny, we never play any real matches? Well that's just ridiculous. You're slandering that you ask us in GvG and we turned you down with an exaggeration of 7 declines in a row. How accurate when you didn't even ask me once. You know, slandering doesn't even make your guild far superior and even better. I hope you can use better words next time, It's actually ruining your guild's reputation.

Most of what Floerail said is right. However this part isn't right "we just randomly sent people from exceed to angel". Basically, we move officers, guild masters and veterans in Angels of Exceed to of course train the main guild and like what floerail said, most of the cases our alt guild wins but that doesn't mean that our main guild doesn't win at all.

And also like what many people said here, "Who gives a fck?". You're in an online community, it's not like the end of the world if we play with our alts! :)

We're in a game, a game where it has suppose to be fun, we're having fun playing with our friends and guildmates. Now, if you're having fun hating other guilds for their guild activity, then just keep hating since I find it rather amusing but don't worry I'll try to give some of my attentions to it. :)
