When I try to download after the rescue camp, the download freezes every time.
I'm not sure if it is my internet connection (which is rather weak) or if it is some other issue.
It starts fairly well, at around 30 minutes to finish, then jumps to around 60-90 minutes and goes for a little longer and stops.
Can someone point me to a solution? ----> It was just my connection. Just needed to leave it a while.

Edit:
Tried with both Browser and Downloaded Binary Interface.

OS - Windows 7
Processor - AMD Phenom II N850 Triple-Core Processor, Approx. 2.2GHz
Memory - 4069MB RAM
Video Card - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series
Approx. Total Memory - 1914MB
Java Version 6. Or 1.6.

A few starter questions:

I assume you are using Mac OSX.
Were you using a browser or the downloaded binary interface?
Was spiral working before?
What version of Java do you have installed?

Sorry for lack of information.

It's actually Windows 7.
I tried using both the browser and binary interface with the same results.
I did play up until you get to the Rescue Camp, so yes it was working.
It's version 6, update 25.

Might try leaving the download going through the night, if all else fails.

Have you made sure that the game is no tripping any security suite software or have you tried adding the firewall exceptions from the Technical Help Sitcky?

Trying...

Just did.
I'll go and see if that was the problem or not.
Thanks.

Edit: It seems to have done it again.
I have a feeling it is, in fact, my internet.
I just remembered that it also freezes up on other things I try to download. Not always, but most of the time.
And they only consist of ~100MB.

Are you playing on a wireless

Are you playing on a wireless connection? It could just be your router that is misbehaving. Plug your computer directly into your internet modem with an ethernet cable and turn the router off; if your connection STILL isn't stable enough for you to download the game, you're going to have to call your service provider to complain. :\

It's not wireless, but there

It's not wireless, but there is a router involved. I could try to directly, but then I'm not sure if that would involve me having to configure the router again. If it does mean that I would have to, I can't attempt that. You wouldn't happen to know if I had to, would you? I'm not very computer literate.
And complaining to my provider wouldn't do a thing. I'm lucky to get anything where I live, seeing as there are only two other houses in sight.

If you don't want to turn

If you don't want to turn your router off, you can just unplug the ethernet cable that runs from the router to the modem, and plug that cable directly into the computer. When you put the cable back into the router you shouldn't need to reconfigure it. What kind of router do you have? What is the operating system on your computer?

Of course, given that you live in a remote-sounding place it could honestly be that you have a poor connection. :(

Alright. I can give that a try in about an hour, when the other person using it goes to bed.
Honestly, I could not tell you what kind of router I have. All I know is that it is a D-link. OS is Windows 7.
