Chapter 10 of my fanfiction is going to be hard to write...I have to kill off* one of the characters who has been through the story from chapter 1. Here I'm just gonna write anything that pops into my head like short stories, poems, fuerhufiqgfaeswal, and lots of other things to clear my head and maybe get some inspiration. People are encouraged to give feedback on anything here. I might come back to something here if you guys think it's good and I turn it into a RP or Fan Fiction. Other writers are welcome here too, so write away!

Cthulhu comes! fhduoaaaauhdfooooooooooaodfhdfgoushugoufshuogfuh
He drew his blade and in a second's passing, it was pierced through the Knight. Tears of agony dropped not from the victim, but from the one holding the blade. Suddenly, the blade slipped free from their grasp in utter shock as the victim whispered a thank you, before shimmering out of apparent existance in an ardent blaze of light.
Sighing remorsefully, she tapped the table impatiently, eyes keenly secured on the only light source in the claustrophobic room. Her heart halted, but resumed after a few moments of intensity. The iridescant crystal placed upon the table receded its suffocating radiance as she caught her breath. A trickle of light seemed to twinkle as she glared at it furiously. One day, she echoed in her mind, one day.
I'll come up with more later =P
Oh, how much I love to spew out nonsense...
Ozlo stood at the prow of his fine ship, the IAF Skylark, the pride and joy of the Isoran Imperial Fleet. She was a class 5 Dreadnought, armed to the teeth, faster than a bolt of lightning, and as tough as an Iron Wolf's training course, and Ozlo would know. Maybe tougher. But Ozlo still reflected on the war he and his mates just so recently escaped.
'First they struck the outer fringes, quietly, not to arouse suspicion of a full on attack.' He thought as he studied the burning form of Isora from his ship. 'Then they finally confirmed the war. The media got a full report on the Morai attack on Aturin. Next was Cortier. They took us apart piece by piece, all because some politicians were sitting on their asses waiting for a confirmation. And they sure as hell got one.'
The Skylark slid through the stars quietly, and the burning shape of Isora slowly faded into a red ball, then nothing more. Ozlo shook off war flashbacks, and stood up, abandoning the bridge for the comfort of his quarters. An attendant approached him, red-eyed and puffy.
"S-sir..." The attendant stuttered. Ozlo felt bad for the knight. The war was brutal, and broke some of them. "We've plotted...a c-course to the nearest habitable w-world...on the map..." Ozlo nodded, and put his hand on her shoulder.
"Take a rest, Agent Kora." Ozlo said. "You've helped enough, and that's the most I can ask for." He strode into the cabins, and stepped into his room. Sitting in a chair, he tilted his head back, and rested. Even old war dogs he Ozlo needed a bone once in a while.
BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP!
Ozlo woke with a start, and he recognized the blaring of the attack alarm instantly. He knew the sound well on Isora. He donned his armor, and marched up to the bridge. It was chaos.
The knights were panicking at the controls, error messages and damage reports popping up all over the consoles.
"What's happening?" Ozlo barked. Kora ran up to him.
"We're taking fire from an unseen force, we can't-"
An explosion shook the ship. Ozlo swore.
"Its punching through our shields like paper, what is this thing?!" He shoved a technician off the chair and looked at the console. He narrowed his eyes as he determined the location of his newfound enemy.
"Aim at coordinates 56, 106, and 442, and open fire!" Ozlo ordered. The knights did as they were told, and adrenaline rushed through Ozlo's veins. His Iron Wolf training kicked back in.
"Deploy drone squadrons 1 through 3, now!" But when the drones got outside, they saw the enemy fire was coming from what looked like a...metallic planet? The pilot of the squadron radioed command.
"Sir, the enemy fire is coming from what looks like a synthetic planet, there's no way we can-" A laser punched through the squadron and burnt off a chunk of the Skylark. Knights got sucked out into the dark vacuum of space, and the ship was no longer safe.
"Ship is breached, get the oxygen packs and get in the escape pods, move it, double-time!" Ozlo yelled. The knights rushed to the pods after getting their gear.
"Where the hell are we supposed to land?!" A panicked knight shrieked.
"Land on the metal planet, we have no choice!" The knights, unsure, launched, and embarked onto a new world. They would come to call it Cradle.
And that was about 200 years ago.
Ozlo is long gone, Colonel Rannix is the new head of the Spiral Order, knights are more organized and adjusted, and we have a new home here with our allies The Strangers. But we are not without enemies. We know who shot us down that day. We know who killed the knights in the remaining ships of the Imperial Fleet. The scumbags called Gremlins, who also happened to be the creators of this planet.
Hell, I don't know how they did it. But we don't let something like that go. We landed here fighting, and we'll either live or die doing so.
My name is Cassandra Mercer, and this is my story.
Tell me watcha guys think! I might turn it into an RP or fanfic after Cradle Two Paths!
The world scorched beneath her feet and her body shone brighter than the sun when the deep wells of energy within her soul finally surged to the surface. Her voice, once graceful and soft, now boomed with sheer power.
"THIS ENDS NOW, DIAVOLO SINTARIS."
Diavolo chortled, rearing his ugly black head as his huge body bent backwards in laughter. "DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN STOP ME?" He crouched down, gathered all his strength, and shot into the sky. "I AM MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU WILL EVER BE! I AM UNSTOPPABLE!! MUAAAAAH HA HA HA HA HAAAAAA!!"
Her eyes blazed with anger and holy fire. Let's test that, shall we? She snapped her swords to her sides and leaped after Diavolo with blinding speed, burning the air around her as she shot through the atmosphere. Before Diavolo even had time to react, she had smashed into him with the force of a hundred moons, sending them tumbling through the void.
Light and darkness seemed to swirl together as Gwenivere's ethereal blades relentlessly smashed into Diavolo's blackened gauntlets. For a moment, it looked as if she would win.
Suddenly, Diavolo pushed away and began laughing. Gwen narrowed her eyes. "WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT, DIAVOLO?"
"YOU! BWAH HA HA HA HA!!" He pointed behind her.
She looked back. She was falling into a Void Vortex. "NO!"
Diavolo just kept laughing. "YOU TOTALLY FELL FOR IT!! BYE BYE, DEAR GWENIVERE!!"
As the vortex absorbed her and flung her body into the Core prison, her last words would eventually come to haunt Diavolo.
"I HATE YOU!! YOU HEAR ME UNCLE!? I HATE YOU!!"
Never before had such vile words ever parted her lips.
And never again.
Here is a passage taken from my fanfic, Spiral knight: the blade of genesis, this is the boss fight with Herex and yes, the main hero Affair, whose name is slightly altered, is also the same man in Skylark fall RP. The two are similar in traits. And yes, Midnight is me.
[Midnight flies over the thick smoke coming from the burning rubble of Haven. As the smoke clears out, he sees Affair’s Dreadnought and one other. Affair, while still stuck in the position, turns the Dreadnought’s head, aiming it directly at Herex’s Dreadnought. Both of them are out of missiles and are badly damaged. Herex charged up his beam canon to 20% and fired it at Affair. The beam lasted for only 3 seconds and the capital Dreadnought’s Upper body was critically damaged, inside the pilot pod, the controls started to fall apart, the two movement analog bursts out and the buttons on the control board starts to explode like pop corns.]
Affair: *coughing from the smoke* “Crap! No, no, no…” *franticly pressing the eject button* “Why is it NOT WORKING!?”
Herex: *Holds the laser button until the energy for the beam is at 100%* “Pitiful…”
[Before Herex can release the beam, Midnight landed on his Dreadnought’s head. Midnight unsheathed his blade and buried it deep into the beam canon the blade stopped the beam from releasing.]
Herex: “Hun? Why is this thing not firing?”
Midnight: “Captain! Get out of there, now!”
Affair: *hears Midnight’s voice* “Midnight, but how? Fine, let’s see if I can kick the pilot pod’s door open.” *kicks the door several times*
[Despite Affair’s best efforts, the door did not budge. He took a deep breath before the smoke coming from the damage engulfed what is left of the clean air inside the pod, he harnessed all his strength and kicks the door one last time, the door finally opened and he jumped out of the weary Dreadnought, as he jumped out, for a short moment he felt relieved, but the relief was short lived when his landing ended with two swollen ankles. Midnight, meanwhile, after burying blade deep into the beam canon’s muzzle and seeing his captain is safe, decided to jump off too. Suddenly, the beam canon started to charge up again, the night blade that was still stuck on the muzzle started to prevent the energy from releasing, the buildup of heat on the muzzle finally melted the canon and hot molten metal pours down onto Herex’s Dreadnought. Herex, realizing that his Dreadnought is done for, decides to eject. As the pilot pod detach from the main body, Herex witnessed the destruction of Seerus’s endeavor. The molten metal started to melt away the rest of the main body, wires and compartments are soon exposed and started to blow up due to extreme heat. A few seconds later, the Dreadnought collapses on itself. While it is falling to the ground, it took the capital Dreadnought with it. The damage was beyond even Herex’s comprehension, “so much destruction, so much death, what have I and my people become?” He thought to himself before the pilot pod landed on the ground of the ruined settlement of Haven.]
Midnight: *approaches Affair* “Captain! Are you-” *tries to touch Affair’s ankle*
Affair: *stood up before Midnight could touch it* “I am fine…”
Midnight: “But Captain…”
Affair: *yells* “Geez! Stop calling me Captain in that girly tone!”
Herex: *emerges from his pod* “Stop right there!”
Affair: *puts his right hand on the Acheron’s sheath*“Oh look who decided to show up, so you are Herex, the ‘whispering venom’! Aren’t you going to run away like you did back in Compound 42?”
Herex: “I Lost Compound 42 to my own arrogance, I should never have underestimated the amount of madness you Spiral mutts have induced!”
Affair: “Says the mad man himself! I think we all know you just want to take war master’s place all for yourself by destroying Haven!”
Herex: “Ha, forget the War Master! I am just going to kill you for spoiling my great plan!”
[Two long chainsaw blades slipped out of his sleeves. Herex, walks slowly toward Affair. He looked into those bright turquoise eyes beneath the mask, he frowns as he powered up the chainsaw. Steams slips out of Herex’s sleeve as the chainsaws are powered up, the blades screamed as if they are thirsty for a battle. Affair, still remain unengaged, draws his Acheron.]
Midnight: *pulls out his blaster* “Herex! Drop your weapon!”
Affair: “Don’t, if this is the fight he wanted, then a fight is what he is going to get!”*stance with Acheron in his two hands*
Midnight: *lowers his gun* “Must you really fight Captain?”
Herex: “This is between us, Seerus’s imposter!”
Affair: “The name is Affair, and today I am taking you down!”
Midnight: “Captain, be careful… the backup will be here soon!”
Affair:*walks away* “Stay out of this, that is an order.”
[Herex, with his chainsaw blades; performs a 180 degrees swipe with the one on his left hand leaving a large scratch on Affair’s mask. Affair evades, Herex, seeing Affair dodges his first attack, immediately dish out another swipe with the blade on his right hand, Affair fails to evade again, the chain saw slices through his suit and cut deep into his skin, Affair limbs suddenly went stiff from the pain and before he could flinch, he is already on the ground. Herex runs in for the ground finish, forces the right chainsaw blade towards Affair. Affair rolls to his left and the blade cuts the sandstone flooring in half, before Herex can swipe him down with his left blade; Affair quickly rises up and swings his Acheron. Herex reacts by lifting his left blade with lightning reflex. The Acheron collides into the chainsaw blade, sparks burst out of the collision like a meteor shower. Affair pushes the Acheron against Herex’s right shoulder, Herex pushes it back with the blade on his right hand. The chainsaw slices away the Acheron and with a forceful release of power, Herex slices Affair’s Acheron into two bits. Seeing his blade breaking down into two bits, Affair instinctively back away, Herex, seeing Affair attempts to flee, drop-kicked him and turn the chainsaw blade to full power, readying to finish him off.]
Herex: *ready for the kill* “This is for Seerus!”
Affair: *covers his eyes with his left arm* “EK!”
[The blade swings down from Herex’s forehead, the blade grinds its teeth away and charged straight for Affair. Affair closes his eyes, he thought to himself, “this is it, the chainsaw will go through my skull like a knife through butter and I never got to date anyone in my life, I lived my whole life searching for a place that I can be without remorse. I guess I finally found it, after this I might be hailed as a hero, but what does it matter, I am still dead anyway, there was no Haven, only another war torn hell…” The blade he was waiting for never came. Instead, he sees Midnight, standing before him. Stopped Herex’s attack with his night blade’s sheath, the sheath is so thin that it is melting away from the chainsaw blade. Affair went speechless. His cross-dressing squire is risking his own life to save him. Midnight’s legs are limping away as Herex’s blade cuts deeper and deeper into his sheath.]
Herex: “Who is this, your squire?”
Affair:*stunned*“M-midnight…why-why are you-”
Midnight: *cries*”CAPTAIN! RUN! I don’t care if you are a knight or a mercenary! Haven needs you more than it needs me!”
Affair: *picks up his sliced off Acheron, which has only half the original length* “Midnight! Get away!” *Pushes Midnight away from Herex.*
[A sudden sense of pain surges through Herex’s brain. He blinks and looks down onto his stomach, the broken Acheron thrusts deep into his torso and blood floods down his robe, the dark silk turned red within seconds. Herex, took one step back while trembled like a madman. A drop of tear lingers out of his eye before he falls down onto the ground. He gasps for one final breathe before he looked into the stars for the last time. Cold wind breezes across his face. He can hear the cry of the wounded knights around him, the stars stationed silently in the night sky. As if everything is back to normal…]
Herex: *whimpers* “Oh, the great stargazers. I guess wasn’t strong enough, Seerus, I am coming to see you, brother…”
Feron: *arrives on the scene* “Affair! Thank Haven, we won!”
Knights: *cheers* “Hooooorayyyyyyyyy!!!!”
Midnight: *Unable to stand up* “C-Captain… It is over? Did we win?”
Affair: “…nothing is over, not until every last Gremlin scum is dead!”*exits*
--the greatest boss battle ever made in SK history--
Pods rained down onto the mysterious, metal planet. Wolvers and Gremlins stopped to watch the spectacle as the spheres crashed into the ground.
One lone pod started smoking before landing in a clearing near the woods. Another fell towards a deep valley surrounded by rocky cliffs.
As the smoke faded from the clearing, several wolvers came over to sniff the pod. "Cough, Cough!" A knighf clad in red armor emerged from the smoking pod, scaring the beasts away. "Crap, I got seperated from him." He pressed his finger against his temple, turning on his energy and map display.
A voice crackled in his helmet, startling him. "Hello? This is Intel Agent Skylanna, do you read me?"
The knight frantically put his hand to his ear. "This is Knight Sonosuke Mokuzaki. I copy."
"Oh, thank goodness. Sir," Skylanna calls over to her officer. "I've found another survivor.... Okay." She turns back to the monitor. "Alright, Mokuzaki, was it? Head north of your position, there's two other knights that way. After you've met up with them, head east. We've set up a camp for any other survivors."
"Right. And just call me Sono."
Skylanna giggled. "Alright. I'll call you back. Skylanna, out." Their transmission ended.
Sono pulled out his Striker and looked towards the forest. "*sigh* Just my luck." He ran north into the forest.
The grave wound was nagging at him constantly, its searing pain the only thing keeping him concious. For twenty years he had guarded this iron fortress alongside some of the greatest minds of the century. And now he was alone, the last survivor of the onslaught; a final pawn between the power core and the world. Many squads had come before this one, and many more will come after it, each one more determined to topple the facilities final defense. There would be no reinforcements, no saviour, no payment beyond faith and valor.
The next group to confront him came not to test his steel, but instead, his faith. A little girl, clad in warriors armor approached in the place of the usual heretic. But instead of raising her weapon, she approached with her weapon sheathed; her two guards Stood anxiously behind her. These were no ordinary guards, anyone could see that, they were massive, heavily armed, and even more heaviliy armored. In this state, he doubted he would've been able to take on even one of them, let alone both.
"Hello"
The girl whispered in a soft voice
"My name is Mara."
Looking down at the girl, he began to respond before the gash on his side pulsed with pain, turning his words into a pained grunt. Shifting his gear to the right shoulder, the pain eased enough for him to speak.
"Leave....here. I'll not *Ergh* I'll not let your heresy taint this place further."
His voice was raspy, and pained, yet echoed with his brilliant deep voice. His will would not be so easily broken, nor his resolve falter.
"You're hurt."
The woman said tenderly, as if talking to a puppy.
"You can't continue like this, we don't want to hurt you any further. You can surrender now with your dignity intact. You've held out for days, on your own! I'm sure your leader understands the value of living to fight another day."
Looking down at the girl, he removed his helmet, and let it fall to the floor. Her eyes widened slightly at the sight of his battered, bloody face. The air was cool, with the wind bringing a refreshing sensation throughout his well-kept greying hair. Putting both hands back onto the pommel of his blade, he responded
"We revel in death, we do not fear it. Our high mother protects our spirits and guides our blades. To die in service to her is our greatest honor"
Tilting his head slightly, he continued
"It's not something I'd expect you to understand, and I thank you for your kindness. However, I would wish that you left the area, I would not kill a maiden but you're pressing the issue."
He said with a minor amount of concern in his voice. With a look of determination, the woman advancedcloser and put her hand on the wounded knights shoulder.
"Enough! no one has to die toda-"
A small shower of crimson flew through the air, as the young woman fell backwards covering her face. The man had cut her cheek with a small blade, not in a vital way, but deep enough to leave a scar. A permanent momento from this grim situation. However, his strike did not go unnoticed as the guards had already sprung into action. The left guard ripping the young woman from range of the attacker and hiding her behind his bulwork, the right charged forward with his great halbert overhead. It's crushing blow met no resistance, and and cleaved through his exsposed shoulder. Falling backwards, a large smile was across his face, his mission was a success.
Defend the core, and inspire fear throughout their ranks
As the life flowed out from his body, a loud beepind resounded from his arm starting to count down to the self destruction. His final thoughts, were of the guardain mother that he had been awaiting...
It's funny, the omnicent angel looked alot like the woman he had stricken down.
(Thin if you're reading this, this was the kind of last stand I had planned for Gorram, but decided against it, as it took to much away from your story)
Gremlins came running to the edge of the valley to see the pod, curious as to what it contained. Rather than one knight, however, from this pod emerged two, one a male clad in red and black armor similar in appearance to Sono's, the other a female in light blue draped armor.
"Crap," the male pressed his finger against his temple. "I got seperated from him." He looked up at the furry creatures watching them.
"Y'know," the female started up, "I don't think we would have been in much of a problem if you had gotten in your own pod." She continued in a taunting tone. "Poor, defenseless me, having to share a pod with the likes of some stranger-"
"So poor, defenseless you would rather be on some random planet alone?" She was quiet. "Thought so."
A voice crackled into their headsets. "This is Intek Agent Granox, do you read?"
They both put their hands to their ears, much to the girl's annoyance. "We read. Knight Drace Gryna here-"
"With Knight Elite MechTeka Mokuzaki." Drace stuck a tongue out at Mech.
Granox turned to his officer. "Sir, more survivors." He turned back. "Gryna and Mokuzaki, what's your status?"
Drace looked around. "We're stuck in a valley, with these... furry creatures looking down at us."
"Copy that." Granox started typing their names into a file of the survivors. He overhears Skylanna's report and the officer telling her of his two survivors being just north. "We've just received word of another knight just south of your position. Just hang tight, rendezvous with him, and head east. We've set up camp and are awaiting word from our recon knights on more survivors."
"Understood. Mech, out." He lowers his hand to the blade sheathed by his side.
"Drace, out." Drace looks at the gremlins, then turn to Mech. "So I guess we just wait for him?"
"Sure." He sat down as the gremlins, one by one, turned back to the forest and continued their logging operations. "Why not?"
Drace hesitatingly sat down with him as the sun drew close to the horizon.
Ur gunna... Kill off a character... From... The start...welp….…..........................………….........................bye Nick....................................or another squad member........... Or a commando........
Almire, the once famous and powerful city lay in fiery ruin. Leo shook his head as he turned away from the rubble. He thought about his next path, wondering whether to take it or not. Hefting his Crossbow, Leo trudged down a hidden passageway.
He did not go unnoticed, for a singular Slag had seen his departure. The slag turned and shambled towards the great hall.
Sitting in his charred throne, Vanaduke ruled over his blackened kingdom. A singular slag walker, reported to him about the Almirian Crusader watching the Citadel. Vanaduke thought for a moment, if the Crusader had been watching the citadel, then he probably wasn't coming back. He put up an order, a request to the Great colony of gremlins that knew the world better than anything. There is a deserter wandering this world. Bring him back to Almire, and you will have earned your Colony, great riches.<\em> He sent the slag walker off with the message.
* * *
Leo if Almire ran through the large compound. He dove behind a box of scrap and reloaded his crossbow, pulling back the string and setting the bolt on its slit. He listened for his pursuers, and heard the faint sound of feet on the metal ground. He stayed still and watched as a group of gremlin thwackers ran past his position. They disappeared into the distance, and Leo stood up slowly, and hurried the other way. Why were, the gremlins of all people after him. Plenty of Almirian Crusaders had journeyed through their realm on an adventure. They had mostly stayed to themselves and their toys. Unless... Leo scowled as realized who was behind this. He started moving quicker now, then saw movement in the corner of his eye. He kept going watching his sides, sure enough more movement was seen. The lift was in front of him, and he put on a burst of speed. Reaching the lift, he slammed up button and spun around, crossbow up and searching for a target.
A bomber stepped out into the open. "Looks like your out of time!" The gremlin cackled and took out a bomb.
"Take another step." Leo replied leveling his bow. "And you'll be the one out of time."
The gremlin smirked, and two retrodes plus a Mecha-Knight stepped forward. "I think not!"
There was silence as the two enemies faced each other. Then Leo sought a mark and released. The bowstring slammed as the bolt was launched at lightning speed towards its target. The Mecha-Knight sparked as it fell to its knees, a bolt protruding from its head, and fell forwards. By the time the gremlin looked back at the Crusader, another bolt slammed into one of the retrodes.
"Attack!" The gremlin shouted at the last construct.
The retrode reared backwards, and let loose a giant laser, tracking across the ground. Leo rolled sideways, in a flash he was up and another bolt streaked towards the remaining foe. The bolt passed clean through the retrode's head. It blew up, blinding the gremlin. When the dust cleared, he saw the lift rising upwards, with its single occupant grinning at him.
Leo saluted the Gremlin bomber, and smiled as the elevator took him upwards to freedom.
WHOOSH
Sono ducked as a spike whizzed over his head. A Giant Lichen Colony was on his tail as he ran through the woods. He leaped as several spires erupted from the ground, barely passing through before he hit the ground.
Sono fumbled with his Super Blaster and started shooting randomly behind him, in hopes of hitting the slime. A shot hit, and chunks flew off as the Lichen slowed down. It then turned back to it's cave, seemingly frightened as it left.
"*huff huff* Whoo." Sono stopped near a tree, checking his minimap. "Okay, looks like the valley is just ahead- Gah!" The ground started rumbling as the tree slowly turned to reveal several gears lodged in it. It then raised it's arm and swung down. Sono rolled out the way and sliced upward, not affecting the Lumber in the slightest. It then swung it's arm in a wide sweeping motion where Sono jumped and landed on the arm.
"How About This!" He pulled out his Fireburst and charge-slammed it stright down the middle. The Lumber started exploding as Sono jumped off before dropping to the ground. "Agh, two monsters in a row." He headed towards what looked like a clearing, passing by several furred creatures in clothing chopping down some trees. A grate cover opened up as a Gun Puppy was lifted to the surface.
The hooded knight moaned as the giant slime "grabbed" him. He gasped for air as jelly filled his mouth, while being slowly hauled into the centre of it. He could feel tiny barbs pricking his skin as he was hauled deeper and deeper. Rulen had just about given up hope.
I've seen enough... to know where this is going, Malk.
Dude it's the Royal Jelly... not... you people are disgusting.
The way you put quotes around grabbed and how you described the Royal Slime killing Rulen made me think of an awkward anime scene that I was unfortunately there to see. *Shudders*
Also, Colray you should keep reading my story. A few surprises might come near the end for you...
The innocent little knight seated in front of the network computer smiled adorably as she scanned the monitor. Her golden eyes twinkled as she merrily relaxed, reading the text on screen.
Suddenly, she hit something - unexpected. At first she was perplexed, not fully comprehending the disturbing words. Surely there was some other meaning? As valiantly as she tried to decipher its meaning, it was lost to her.
Then it she understood. Or so she thought; trembling, eyes round and mouth agape, her mind was plagued. Horrified as she was, she had been effectively paralyzed. Tears of terror streamed from her face as she shoved the network computer over, a loud crackling as it broke.
Then she was off, sprinting to get away from her own mind.
As the sun lowered below the horizon, there was an explosion atop the cliff. Mech got up and unsheathed his Gokai, holding it in front of him. Drace pulled out her Prismatech Mk. II and aimed at the giant cloud of smoke.
"AAAAHHH!!" Sono came tumbling down the cliff, with several Retrodes standing at the edge trying to hit him with lasers. Sono rolls to a stop, ending up on his feet in front of Drace, who was still holding her Prisma at his face. "... I'd like it if you could get this gun out of my face please." He slowly pushed it down with his finger as Drace snapped back to reality.
"Oh right, sorry." She put the gun away and stepped back, weary of this new guy.
"Sup, bro." Mech and Sono did their handshake with each other, then put their weapons away as well.
Sono put his hand against his ear and called the camp, with Mech and Drace joining the call. "Skylanna, I've found the two survivors. We are heading to the camp now."
"Perfect." She leaned over to Granox and typed some stuff into his computer, much to his annoyance. "Alright we'll call you when-" An explosion was heard over the transmission, followed by several knights shouting at each other.
"Knights!" Squad Leader Greta shouted over the commotion. "We're under attack! Stand you ground, make sure nothing gets in!"
Granox cut in to the transmission. "Sorry, we're gonna have to call you guys back." The call ended.
Drace had a look of shock on her face. "Maybe we should hurry up and get to the camp."
"Oh, you think?" Mech passed a health pill from his arm pouch to Sono before heading for the eastern cliff. "How far is this place?"
Sono checked his map marker and sighed. "Quite a lot of miles away." He followed after Mech. "May as well start now."
Drace looked at them as though they just suggested jumping into the Skylark's engine. "How far away is it?" They stopped and looked back, confused. "And your fine with just walking there?"
"Not sure what your problem is, lady." Sono resumed hiking up the cliff. "S'not a problem for us, about 5 miles, that's all."
"Oh right," Mech teasingly said, "she's just a poor, defenseless girl."
"Ugh, you guys are so annoying." Drace headed after them as Wolvers howled to the moon.
