first, sorry if i add wrong place for this topic, i just want to ask something.
i will give 2 conditions (example).

codition 1.
i have tempered calibur with lv 5 heat.
then i want to upgrade to ascended calibur.
now i have lv 1 tempered calibur.

condition 2.
i have tempered calibur with lv 10 heat(lvl max).
then i want to upgrade to ascended calibur.
now, i have lv 1 tempered calibur.

so, my question, are the damage of lv 1 tempered calibur for condition 1 and condition 2 different?

thanks before, hehe.

Nope. They're the same. Tempered Calibur and Ascended Calibur are separate and the only way the former can affect how the latter turns out is if you have a UV that you transfer.

They are not different.

If you choose to upgrade them both to 4*, regardless of what level they are at when you choose to upgrade them, their damage will be the exact same, both being 4* Lv 1 Ascended Caliburs.

Ideally, you'll want to upgrade 3* to 4* gear as soon as you're able to; at Lv 5.

No problem!

Yesh, the damage Lv 10 has over Lv 5 is "lost" in a sense when you upgrade it to 4*. I wouldn't say the Lv 10 Tempered is useless per se, it's stronger than the Lv 5 Tempered, but it's pointless and not an efficient way of using your Glowing Fire Crystals, because again, there's no difference in either sword's damage when they're upgraded to 4*.

Simply put, as soon as you hit Lv 5 with any of your 3* gear, go ahead and upgrade to 4* as soon as you're able to.

if you have lots of crystals you might want to heat it to level 10 anyway, just for more chances at a forge box.

wiki pages

Read the wiki page "Crafting", and in particular the section "Upgrading". Or read the wiki page "Heat". This is all explained.

There is a reason not to heat your 3-star items beyond heat level 5: It takes time and fire crystals.

On the other hand, there is a reason to heat them beyond level 5: You get more chances at Forge Prize Boxes. I have tons of 3-star fire crystals and heat itself is never a problem, so I heat my 3-star items all the way to heat level 10, just for this chance.
