Just wondering who might possibly be the best Recon player in T3 since recons aren't used as much in Tier 3.

kind of a mixed bag here, because there's so few that play it in a dedicated way
two current ones are sprunket and seiran, in the past rebootse was pretty solid as a recon, and i've seen people dabble with it and do pretty well so it just depends on what you're looking for from a recon

Seiran, Contri, and Achys are some of the best I know of. I do consider myself to be a very good recon but that's mostly because there's so little competition. All of the previously mentioned are better than me either way.

Not going to say who's the best or anything B|
but as far as recons I liked:
- Rebootse was cool, but he didn't really get into the whole hybrid recon thing until later on, so he lacked a lot of the mobility and bonuses that guns would have given.
- Ramenfrog had some of the best unexpected ambushes I'd seen, and I'm still trying to get the hang of doing that (actually, I have a loadout based on her haha)
- Ezho just learned about deathmark. True story, he didn't know how awesome it was til recently and went on in guild chat about how cool it was. It really is nice though, and more recons should learn how to use it fluidly >:[

Cool mentions:
- Cobalt is pretty good at bullying people as recon.
- Sprunket isn't that bad either, I think.
- There was another recon I really liked who wore Crown of the Fallen. He played sword hybrid with bombs, just as I would, but went inactive after a while. When he came back, he wasn't nearly as amazing as I remembered and he didn't remember me either, so it's a lost memory now :(

Sprunket isnt a completely mindblowing recon. He is decent.
Pretty sure seiran is good, but never played him so i wouldnt know.
Best Ive faced would have to be ...cant rember their name but they were a vog recon (i think in EoS) that used furious flamberge and DA.

90% of the time the best recons are the ones who play recon consistently.
Unless they're generally new to LD and went with the attractive class.

Technically even videos can be tampered with.... pretty sure I could edit a video to make it look like I got like 50k damage while it actually was 30k.. Also a video/game files can be edited to make it look like you're not using AT on video while you actually are. And yes I can imagine people going through the trouble to boast about being "the best" or one of the best. Also no video will be a true record since not everyone records EVERY match they're in. I could break 100k damage tomorrow and not have it recorded. Does that mean I hold the highest damage record for a legit lockdown match ? Yes it does. Does it mean it will be in your thread ? no it doesn't.. Really comes to how you judge your records here.
Back to the point of the thread. Seiran wins all. You just can't compare others to him. /bow

Who has the best stall tactics, effectively buying time for their team? Who can make 5 Strikers buzz around like chickens without a head, swinging at thin air? Who is the deadliest assassin and can eliminate a target swiftly? Who's the most effective back-capper, causing the enemy team to focus them? Who is the best support? Who's the best clean-up crew, being able to secure the cap after their teammates take the fall? Who's the best anti-carry, able to shut down the strongest person on the enemy team with counter-play? Who is the most brutal? Who can play without the need or reliance of splurging on Shock/Stun/Pierce Max Skolver sets? Who plays for the team? Who is skilled, and keeps quiet about it? Who keeps even the most seasoned veterans on their toes? Who dedicates their playtime to solely the Recon class, but makes up in execution and effectiveness with it? Who can play without using macros (coughjempirehackcoughsneeze) to shield cancel for them ?
These are the questions I'd consider long before hauling ship with the tired "SHOW ME 69K DAMAGE OR GTFO NOOB" attitude.

If you narrow it down to to full time recons you're left with like 5 people.
That said, Seiran is rightfully the person most people agree on being the best recon.

I almost always play as recon on US nowadays. That 1.5 bar hurts too much to go striker and drift around the map like a tiny boat in the ocean.
That being said, I almost never play SK anymore cause it's quite boring and broken.
Anyway, Seiran is surely the best recon gunner. As for best recon overall... not sure.

Playing Recon as a bomber is usually pretty silly. Any respectable bomber probably does better as Guardian because shield and HP and resistance and knockback resistance.
Guardians have knockback resistance in some form, right? I'm not entirely sure here.
