I don't think I've ever stumbled upon a post like this in the recent era (ever since I started reading the forums, that is), but anyways let me get to the point of this...

You know we have the monster families:
Slime
Construct
Gremlin
Beast
Fiend
Undead
Void-somethings
and the other creatures that there with no exact family, like The Harvester ect.

Which one of those are your favorite to fight, and why? (Easy? or for the nice challenge?)

Least favorite?

Is there a certain monster from a certain family/ies that you like? (Slooms, Love Puppy, anything really)

Do you wish there could be more monsters in a certain family?

Example:
My favorite monster family is the Slimes since, Jellies are silly, Polyps are cnidarians :3, and Lichen doesn't look the same in real life :( They're just plain awesome. The End. (because they always come to me too, makes me feel loved <3)

I dislike....Gremlins because they're annoying when they sassily walk away from me like I don't even exist! It's a bit rude.

I like Greavers because you can go "There's something on your face. *boom* ...It was pain!" (I'm so funny, no, I'm not, I'm the complete opposite, I'm like...Unfunny, that's a thing right?)

As I mentioned before, I like jellies. So, moar jellies pl0x. Even so, looking at the Wiki, (I thank whomever put it together, you, my friend, cohort, person, internet-awesome-boy, are fantabulous) has the least number of, I guess different monsters within it. Like, there could be a reverse Lichen colony that could disperse into many smaller Lichens instead of growing in size. :3

Just thought this'll be something fun to do :) I apologize in advance for any grammar errors, since it's a tad bit late and I'm exhausted right now. Please bare with me and my spelling-grammar-Pan-derpiness.

My least favorite monster would have to be dark fang menders. I don't want you. Get out.

My favorite would have to be ANY ZOMBIE. Their attack pattern is just to easy to dodge and memorize that you feel bad for the poor little zoms. As an FSC farmer, we have a close relationship.

I personally love to fight fiends. I love crushing hordes od Devilites with my MSI: Med Divine Avenger and Divine Set (so fiend damage bonus). I can even hold off greavers this way!

On the other hand I DESPISE beasts. Mostly wolvers. I never went down the flourish line (#WAYtoomainstream) so i can handle the chromas with my Plague Needle, but i can't hit wolvers for [REDACTED]!

So there's my two cents.

I go out of my way to not kill Menders because they're completely harmless and Thwackers are absolute morons.
They just stare blankly into corners trying to be sneaky, not realising guns exist.

I hate Undead monsters though.
Kats just hang around going "Hey, you want to kill me? That's co- Hah sucker, I'm over here!"
Howlitzers are infuriating too, knock one out and it refuses to die without destroying a party member in the process.

My Favorite and Least Favorite

My list is a little bit out of the ordinary.

My favorite monster is family fiends! Every one of them actually. Even Greavers. It definitely takes a lot of practice to learn how to effectively fight them, but once you do, they become challenging enemies that are still beatable. It may have to do with the fact that my computer doesn't have massive latency issues, but I can see that as a major problem for many. Their speed is just overkill.

My least favorite monster family is slimes. Why? Because I suck at fighting them. I am not kidding when I say this, I take more damage from a single Jelly Cube than I do from any other monster family in the game! There is something about Slimes that makes them all so unpredictable and so insane that I can't tell what they are doing. I could be standing up close to a Toxigel and expect it to use a melee attack, but then it uses it's crazy instant poison spin attack that leaves me to fend it off with 30 DPS and minimal defense.

My favorite monster of them all? Tier 1 Menders. They are cute and harmless so I shield bump them around just for fun. Sometimes I could play Tennis with one if another player didn't kill them first.

My least favorite monster of them all? Dark Fang Menders or Mecha Knights. Probably Mecha Knights. I definitely feel like the Tier 3 Menders are in need of a nerf, mostly due to their stupidly over powered AoE healing skill that lasts for years. Mechas are just insane though. You know how I said that the Slime family is hard? Well, the Mecha family is harder. But not Constructs.

If I try fighting them in melee, they rip me apart with a shock+status+swordswingA+B+C=dead combo instantly. If I try fighting with a gun, they put up their ultra shields of lololololol and make all my attacks useless. if I try fighting them with bombs, oh look! I killed one! Now I just have to deal with all the Mechas I blew in front of my every direction! Yeah, I hate them.

A little bit bored while eating some chocolate wafers, so I'll give this a shot.

Which one of those are your favorite to fight, and why?

Constructs. Any of them. There's just something so satisfying when fighting them. Idk what it is but that moment when a lumber or a Mecha knight are taken down I just grin like a idiot. Mecha knights think they have the upper hand on me when I'm gunslinging but not a single thing in this game can keep their shield up and not attack ever.

Least favorite?

Hm, probably beasts aka wolvers...mainly wolvers. The teleporting ones just always manage to find a way to nip me when I'm trigger happy with my pepperbox.

Do you wish there could be more monsters in a certain family?

Oh yes. Beasts need some kind of ranged enemy class. Every other monster family is pretty much set for life. Only other thing I can think of is another new kind of family being introduced.

If you're expecting kats, I'm gonna have to say nah. They're up there, but I actually have been taken fancy to Jolt bunnies. They don't warp around and actually prove to be a challenge in massive swarms with the tracking charge attacks wolvers used to have. Ghostmanes are pretty awesome too. Wish I could make deathmarks on enemies constantly, hide, and slide everywhere <3

And btw, beasts are the current ones with the least members in a family mainly because of no ranged one. (yet) Beast=/=Jellies. Don't one of you dare to bring polyps in my face.

Except for

the minis.
I hate the minis so much, especially scarabs. Bunnies are hard too because they swerve while attacking.

Fave to fight? It'd be a close tie between Beast, Jellies, or Lumbers. There's something about Vortexing and Suda charging those three things that just... it just makes me smile. Also Void monsters because of the challenge of the place.

2. Least favorite?

Possibly gremlins in a party that divides the group too small for me to cause alot of damage, or a bunch of shock fiends. I don't want no damn computer chips!

I'd like to fight slooms again, ever since that gate slipup I've been longing for Slumber levels. I dislike turrets in general but I've taken a liking for that Turret danger room; been a while since I've played Touhou Knights.

4. Do you wish there could be more monsters in a certain family?

Beasts need more love. And despite Void monsters being strictly end game I'd like to see one or two "special" levels surfacing over Stratum 5 and 6; similar to a Treasure Vault, but... with less treasure and more death.

I'm not Beatlejuice but apparently I can be summoned in a similar way.

And you stole my thunder Ceecee.
But as Ceecee said, my favorite monster family is constructs. I attribute this primarily to the fact that the first sword I fell in love with was a leviathan blade with a damage bonus very high vs constructs on it. That thing can take out a gun puppy in a single charge on advanced (AKA, the original) difficulty. They also seem to be some of the most varied in terms of enemies, with the scuttlebots being deadly when you ignore them, Mecha Knights being able to shock you always (/cry), and lumbers with their powerful overhead smash.

I really want to ride a scuttlebot.

My least favorite family would probably be slimes honestly, with gremlins as a close second. Slimes are just too predictable for me. I always half-expect them to do something else and they just fill me with spikes. They don't do too much damage either, so I feel pathetic when I lose an ER to them. I also absolutely hate lichens because they do everything possible to annoy me. Don't even get me started on the glop drops.
Gremlins I only dislike because of their panic dash - but I've also learned how to use that to my advantage, so it's not a complete baddy.

The beast family is seriously lacking monsters. Slime family is missing a few too. We have no piercing elite monster, so I'll often bring my owlite shield to slime and beast arenas because it will be of better use against the gremlins/constructs that will show up.

One monster I really love to fight alone is a trojan. It is sooooo much fun to take one out using purely a callahan. Wolvers are fun to fight using a DVS-callahan combo. Devilites are also great target practice.
I guess I just love killing fiends.

Lichens have to be my favorite monster. It has to be a game in itself, either trying to keep all of them apart or making them are join together. They're a unique enemy with a unique feature. I love these guys.

Which one of those are your favorite to fight, and why?
Mine would have to be slimes. I can use my Biohazard on them and make them explode. I can do that with gremlins as well, but it's easier with slimes.

Least favorite?
That award goes to the gremlins. You have the menders, the demos, the ghostmane stalkers(the guys that turn invisible), the mortafires, and finally the thwackers. All of them are annoying to fight. But that's when they are in huge groups. In small amounts, there are ok.

Beast has already been mentioned, so my answer would have to be no.

The Impostocube, the blue despiked jelly cube hubert, and impostoclaus. As you can see, I have a soft spot for jellys. And yet, I eat jelly with my toast.

Favorite to fight?

I really enjoy fighting undead (especially zombies/skeletons, mostly thanks to FSC and my DA with a very high dmg bonus against undead), i like most constructs (T3 robot-knights are a pain in the arse sometimes, but the challenge is still interesting) and i really enjoy fighting lichens.

Least favorite?

Most fiends. Devilites and gorgos are annoying, trojans are okay, greavers are HELL.
Gremilin menders are a pain in the ass too.

Specific monsters i like?
I don't know.... All of them?

Favorite Monsters to Fight:

I would have to say Greavers and most constructs (Scuttlebots and Lumbers), something about smashing my Rocket Hammer into their faces is just so. . .satisfying. Not to mention shooting a bunch of them with my AP is pretty fun. Plus there attack is pretty easy to dodge (unless you get cornered by a huge group)

Least Favorite Monsters to Fight:

Erm a tie between Fiends and the Mecha Knights. Fiends because their office equipment is just so deadly, and they can be quite annoying when they get mad for having to work overtime *shivers*. Mecha Knights because in a T3 arena on elite, trying to dodge 12-16 Shock Mechas while half the party is dead is quite annoying -____-
