Fangel's Fine-Tuned Game Tweaks

As I view suggestions, I often take the base concept and run in a completely new direction with them. Often, those directions aren't exactly the intent of the initial suggestion so they are ignored. The ideas aren't bad, but they're in the wrong place. Most of these ideas are less than a paragraph, but rather solid.

Some suggestions in this thread will sound familiar. Others will be at the top of the suggestion subforum. Those threads have inspired my own thoughts, and I've taken it down a different path.

This is a thread where I'll lay down various ideas that have popped into my head while active, and I believe most of them are very do-able with the current game mechanics.

Clockworks/Combat Suggestions
These are some suggestions that add a bit of flair to the Clockworks, and the fights that go on within it.

Alter Compounds
Right now, compounds aren't rewarding enough for the level of work we put into them. Change the single crown spawns at the end of their levels with prize boxes.

Change Charge Colors
Have the visual charge color reflect our personal color to avoid confusion in tight spaces.

Adjust Consumable Droprates
Depending on the difficulty, have more or less consumables be dropped. Normal mode should have more, elite should have less.

Easier Spark Revives
When walking over a downed team mate, clicking on them and clicking on them again (as confirmation) will grant them a Spark of Life from your inventory.

Quickplay Option
When accessing the mission interface, have a button in the arcade section labeled "quick play". This will drop players into a random party at any depth in any gate.

PvP Suggestions
As of now, Lockdown is very unbalanced, which can lead to a lack of fun. Here are some suggestions that can balance or make our inter-knight skirmishes better.

Family Bonuses
Make the class shields define what monster families a player is. This will not make players more susceptible to certain damage types, but rather make each class be affected by family damage bonuses. Fast moving enemies like fiends and beasts could be attached to striker, whereas slower and tankier enemies such as constructs and undead can be attached to guardians.

Class Adjustments
Short and simple: Guardians should have flinch resistance, strikers should have status weakness of medium to all statuses, and recon's footsteps should never show.

Tier Adjustments
Modify each class shield per tier. Guardians might have their shields scaled to the damage they can be receiving, strikers may have prolonged/shortened boost and recharge time, recons might have a larger or smaller death-mark radius. Doing so will also make the path for each shield to give buffs/debuffs that can balance each class per tier.

Accessory Suggestions
This section is dedicated to anything that makes your knight look pretty. Accessories, costumes, reskins, all those sort of things!

Lovely Theme
A simple theme similar to other promotions. Primary color is pink, secondary is white, tertiary color is red. Proto-armor reskins would be available, and all standard accessories would be released.

Dragon Tails
Suggested by another forumer, dragon tails could be pointed, scaly tails that move similar to wolver tails. They would come in all standard styles.

Auras
Simple auras that could fit more armors. Shadow aura, prismatic aura (think a prismatic flame aura), mossy aura...

Krogmo Prize Boxes
Add Krogmo coin prize boxes to Sullivan. Each box would be worth 200 Krogmo Coins, and have a random chance at getting special reskinned gear (with a purple + yellow color scheme), trinket and weapon slot upgrades, krogmo coin materials, sparks of life, and a new "bribe pass", which will fill up the King Krogmo bribe meter for free, and is destroyed upon usage.

Social Suggestions
These are some suggestions that are supposed to improve community or make social interactions more fun.

More emotes
Off the top of my head, I could use a "/confused" and "/gasp" emote.

Gear Suggestions
There are several pieces of gear that need to be revamped, changed, or added. Armor, weapons, many things!

Chaos Armor Change
Either make the Chaos Cowl have damage bonus of high and the chaos cloak have a CTR of high, or make the hood have damage bonus medium and CTR low, and the cloak have damage bonus low and CTR medium.

Inverted Chaos Armor
Could be named "Harmonious (armor piece)", and would give status resistance of +4 to most statuses, at the expense of damage and charge times.

There will be more suggestions to come, and I will add onto my list as the rest of you inspire my train of thought with your great suggestions!

Rather than just nuking the droprate, it'd be great if only health capsules appeared less frequently, placing more stress on using vials, barriers, remedies, etc. to survive instead.

Consummables from boxes need to go, or at least just be bonuses in addition to crowns/mats/heat.

-"Mossy Aura"
So... Leafy Aura?

-"Chaos Change"
I think they'd still be really powerful if each piece only gave a Low damage bonus, maybe even without one entirely. Universal CTR is ridiculously powerful with the right gear.

-"Inverted Chaos"
Universal Damage Decrease VH from a full set would be more than enough; nuking CTR and damage at the same time is too much.
Support players would love it.

Right, tiny tails that are pretty silly looking, mimicking Chromas'. Look at the Chroma sets' tails, then look at a Wolver Tail accessory. Imagine that except not so fluffy, with spikes and perhaps a larger spike at the tip.

I figure they'd need slightly different animations, though.

But it needs a nerf. It should have some sort of bonus for its downsides, but right now that bonus is a little too big.

Not really. You don't need to relate family bonuses to classes as much as each class could be weak to 2/6 of the specific bonuses. They don't even need to make sense. The only way to argue against it is that UVs are already too influential and should be toned down somehow.

-"[Disbelief at Krogmo Accessories]"
Purple +Yellow/Gold is a snazzy combo which several people have shown to like already. It'd be another coin sink.
I'd rather not have yet another "accessory gambling box" though. I'd rather see different accessories available for individual purchase, with a free box given out every ~100 coins or so. Shop-bought accessories should be bound, probably.

As a lot of people have suggested...
Chat color/map-player-color as well...

Re: Change Charge Colors
Another idea would be have players be "highlighted" with their own personal color (and sprite), during combat, thus leading to less confusion as well. I've often found myself trying to hit Mask's when I'm fighting Devilites.. Curse you purple Devilites...

Why not just change Universal CTR to Sword CTR on Chaos?
So Chaos clones can continue to charge their Brandishes happily.

Maybe Sword CTR on coat and Gun CTR on cowl.
I just think that Chaos need to be less universal.
