It's a giant phallus symbol under construction. It should be ready until midsummer and then we will dance around it.

The Knight standing atop it is being venerated as the Pope as I speak. I approve of this.
What surprises me is that the Stranger next to the Garden wall (forgot his name) doesn't have anything to say about it.
It's a friend for Monomi (the gun puppy statue)... I think.
Why the garden though? That was such a tranquil part in haven.....gone are the days hiding in the corner and loling at some random asking you why you are standing there....... :(

I do hope that it's a new use for Minerals...which would be a way to get a new set of Sprites OR just something that eats our minerals. I have 200-300 of green and blue minerals.

Erm, its either a statue of Nick, some kind of useful (or not so useful) machine, or what I am hoping for, some kind of gate that adds to the storyline. I'm getting tired grinding Vana and doing LD all the time ;_;
It's a functionless piece of scenery to distract us from the fact that they aren't working on anything.

There's a neat thing called the Clockworks. You can access them from the Arcade or from the Mission Menu (handy!). You might even find some Recipes at Basil that are worth selling.
In all seriousness, though, play some Clockwork runs every now and then. FSC gets way too boring :P

it would be great if they were carrying a gigantic battle sprite, and they use chemicals to replicate it, then we could mount battle sprites!!
The 'knights' that brought it in could be disguised gremlins trying to create a mechanical monster that will destroy haven and everything in it.
Its either:
A- some lame [cog] statue that does jack $%!
or
B- It will remain as is as a permanent fixture that they(the devs) will completely forget about and never progress forward(much like the core).
My money is on B

I have really no idea what this could be... I've been looking at a few of these posts and I must say, some are simply fabulous, and some are really making me think. But I think it could be a start to some sort of building or tower, that we might be able to explore once it's done.
Hm, Seeing this, It makes think of all the good times that Spiral Knights given me, weird but fun(snarby), random(died in clockworks :(, first try though), exciting(apocrea) , scary (first vana evar), funny (jk), /cry (when i got that 1st 5 star wep) , /cheer (when i got that 30 tokens for a blackened) experiences :) . This is bringing me back,this is why I played this game in the first place. Its randomness. You dont know whats next, and out of the blue theres a patch.
Somedays the ce(just call it ce for crying out loud) is down, sometimes its up. Sometimes there are no players, sometimes there are too many players, and i lag in LD. Sometimes ALL(250) my friends are on, sometimes they arent.
Im really grateful to Nick and the whole Spiral Knights Team for giving me this kind of experience, FOR FREE.
And whatever comes next, we old timers all know we'll forget about this (statue,new battle sprites, new vendor,or doorway to somwhere under the training hall,or whatever) after a few months, just like the battle sprites. ;)

I don't mean to sound overly cynical, but its probably not going to be that exciting.
Kind of like how the new section of Haven was just really meh. I mean, yeah its great. The lab, guild hall, etc. all look fantastic, but I'd rather not have to wait 60 seconds to see the combined front of every guild hall as one building when I can just press 'm' to go wherever I please..
I don't think it will be entirely dull either; a 2nd gun puppy statue would be unexpected and boring beyond belief. It'll probably be some small function, like a new crafting/gambling station that gets you some set of items or does some basic functionality. It wouldn't surprise me if it was just another event.
Devilites will burst out of it and destroy everything.

Ok ok, so in order to get in, they put men inside a big horse statue and gave it as a present... except the knights don't even care if its a horse or anything meaningful and will just take anything. So they were given a big slab of concrete instead.
