you know how the knights put a box on top of another box? i think there is a hole below the box that leads to the core, and when the knights place a new box on top of a box, they are pushing the old box down the hole. that's how supplies are delivered to the team that works at depth 29. the new box does not fall down because there are jets on the bottom of each box that make them float. the jets are deactivated if enough force is applied to the top of the box.

also it is possible that the knights are actually danny phantom and danny phantom cloned himself a lot

another explanation for this is that boxes are actually sentient beings with the ability to float in mid-air. they die when the knights slam another box on top of them and they can't float when they're dead, so they just crash down to the core. the swarm is actually a collection of the lost souls of dead boxes, and to this day the lost souls seek revenge against the knights who killed them.
