Recently I've been thinking about getting ASI on my WRH however with my recent attempts at UV'ing, I end up with Damage Bonus vs Gremlins :/ I've tried the ASI perk from my sprite but it's just not enough... (Go MAX or go home)

So, what's the most cost-efficient way of securing at least ASI Very High with any equipment while still being tanky?

Stay up all night to get lucky

I'd roll every once in a while in the future in hopes for ASI Medium+, but the viable alternative ways to get ASI without UVs would be to:

-Equip Swiftstrike Buckler for ASI High

-Equip Two ASI trinkets for ASI Very High.

-Equip Vog for ASI Very High.

This information is vague however, it'd be better if you posted what armor and trinkets you're currently using so we could pin down the best alternative for you.

Meep goes all the way

@Shadowstarkirby Hmm.. Swift strike does to seem to be my best alternative.
P.s Currently using Merc / Merc Demo (not really any ASI )with no trinkets.

Not a bad idea!

Yes, I'd go with that, it's the cheapest and most efficient. With a bunch of practice, you'll do great with it! Try and grab trinkets along the way, an ASI one and DMG one preferably.

expected cost of rolling

I agree with the others here. Using Punch to get a specific UV type (ASI) at a high level (+3 or +4) is very expensive. Here is a calculation, using some common data/assumptions on the rates of UVs:

chance of getting ASI: 1/8
chance of getting +3 or +4: about 1/16, but there is a lot of uncertainty in this figure
expected number of Punches to get ASI+3 or ASI+4: 8 * 16 = 128

expected cost for the Punches: 128 * 20,000 = 2,560,000
expected cost if the chances of +3 or +4 are as high as 1/8: 1,280,000
expected cost if the chances of +3 or +4 are as low as 1/32: 5,120,000
