The costumes look nice, but I'm frowning on the shield having unique stats and being exclusive to premium players. While it doesn't have ridiculous stats, I'm afraid SK is going to become more p2w than it already is by introducing more of this kind of content.

You finally make another hybrid damage shield, and it's near impossible to obtain!? WHY.

Why for the love of all things good and holy would you crush 80% of the drop-ratio with tickets? When we make a purchase for the boxes, we want the new exclusive contents, not a UV ticket that's only going to give us Damage Bonus versus Construct: Low or sell for a fraction of the price we paid on the market.

I am not supportive of this model at all. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I am of the opinion that when you release promo boxes like these they should only contain exclusive content. Hogging them with miscellaneous items like this only makes it a gamble trying to get any of the new items, and I thought with the previous promos that we had finally moved away from that. Clearly, I was mistaken.

And to make matters worse, you've included a 1% chance for a unique (not a re-skin like The Bitter End) shield that is unobtainable outside of these boxes. I expected better of you by now.

False advertising would be if they advertised the new stuff but had a 0% chance of getting it.

Also, itss just a shield. They made the tortodro.e shields EASILY available to F2Pers (I am f2p, but i didnt get one anyways).

The new shield is just a shield, and kinda helps by showing who is P2P an F2P.

Be happy we got the sweet tortodro.e shields and not some useless shadow/piercing shield that can only be used viably in UGWW.

Honestly, When I saw this promo, I thought it was the best one yet.

Then I actually looked into it.

Three rings, the only way you can save this promo right now is to lower drop chances for tickets. Otherwise you're gonna miss out on a bunch of purchases.

I'm tempted to jsut buy a package and use the CE to buy one off the AH. it seems safer. and there's a VERY SLIGHT chance I might get something cool. A VERY SLIGHT CHANCE. SLIGHT CHANCE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR A PURCHASE.

Seriously Three Rings. We're giving you our money here. This is meant to be a family-friendly game right? I'm pretty sure gambling isn't for younger audiences? Because this really is a gamble.

If this happens again then my previous high regard for Three rings as a company will be pretty much demolished.

EDIT 2: I'm not fussed about the shield. It has no status resistances, which instantly makes it redundant in all practicality and is just a costume item, since defence is still completely unbalanced.
I just want one of the costume armours. Oh hey, last time with the warden promo I also wanted an armour. Guess what I got? Two helmets.

Y'know, A really good way to do it would be that you're certain to get one armour and one helm, and make the chances for getting extras much less. I'd totally throw money at every promotion if that happened. But that ain't gonna happen either.

I'll just wait until it inevitably shows up on the supply depot.

IDW's are a little different. I think that steam promo was to get people to play different games.

Even so... The chances of getting a "high tier" item were astronomically low, but you were guaranteed to get SOMETHING.

Meanwhile, in this, you have huge odds of getting a cr-substitute item.

I was not even referring to the fact there were actual equipment in that until later in my post, which should not even be there in the first place. At least The Bitter End was only a reskin.

I was saying that when they release promo boxes, they should contain the items that pertain to that particular promo and not miscellaneous items that have nothing to do with it, in this case UV tickets. As I was saying, we want the new promo items, not subsitutes for a marginal amount of crowns versus the price in real currency we spent on it. If I were to buy an Equinox Prize Box, I want the Equinox items, like the Celestial Nav items, the Celestial Guardian items, the Sun or Moon Crests, the Solar or Cosmic Plasma Wings or the Orbit Aura. What I don't want is a UV ticket that might earn me 15-200K crowns or get me a Gremlin: Low on my Hail Driver. That is the point I'm trying to make.

The costumes, shield and accessories do look pretty darned cool. They simply don't warrant the low obtaining rate they are hidden behind.

as Melonfish said, they weren't hidden behind a 4/5 chance of getting a UV ticket which I absolutely do not want out of a $9.95 purchase.

In my experience, a big slap to the face.

Dangerous Prize Box Promo. Get a sweet looking Recon Ranger Helmet, Armor, Shield, or Anti-Personnel Spikes!
What'd I get? A small Crest. A Crest worth very little than the Energy used to purchase the Box.

Obsidian Prize Box Promo. Get a cool Hood, Armor, Wings, or Crown with also a chance to get a Shadow Accessory!
What'd I get? An Obsidian Hood of Sight(least popular of the 4 Colors at that time) & Shadow Maid Headband.

Ancient Prize Box Promo. Get an awesome looking(to me) re-skin of Helmets, Armor, Accessories, Aura, or Power Pistons!
What'd I get? Serene Sallet(least popular of the three helmets from what I've heard at least) & Ancient Maid Headband.(2 seperate Boxes)

The only reason I got the Prize Boxes though, were because they were ontainable through the Supply Depot instead of having to shell out $9.95 for one(excluding Ancient Prize Boxes. I got 2 of them for purchasing the Battle Pack with Bing Rewards). Why did they ever stop doing that?

Yeah, I do realize. But I am purchasing energy for the contents of the box, not for the energy. When all I get is a UV ticket I am going to be greatly disappointed, because I could very easily just buy one for 20K crowns in-game rather than spending $9.95 on it and some energy.

One could argue that you could just use the energy you purchased to trade for the actual promo items, but guess what? We've had several promos where we did not gamble against odds of getting something completely unrelated, like the Rose Regalia amongst others. Why would they do this now that we've been having such a good streak of reasonably fair promos up until now?

Used $20 for only 2 boxes and didnt got any costumes, only 2 tickets and 4 confetti. I'd say $20 is worth more than that, OOO is getting too greedy

This whole UV ticket thing is lame, honestly I would pay 60 dollars for the shield BUT there is no way I'm paying 60 dollars for a slim chance for the shield.
They should have made the boxes cost like $2.45 per box if they were gonna make it so 80% of them were trash.

Spend $9.95, you will get energy!

After:
Spend $9.95, you will get energy and a chance to get something else!

If your luck is a mess, then just use all your CE that you got from the purchase and buy it from the AH.

The cosmetic/new things is just like Alchemy orb, you can get it for free if you are lucky. If you are not, then just use all crown that you get from the run and buy it from Supply Depot.
