So I got this sword for 2 reasons.
1. It looks cool
2. I was interested in the energy bolt per swing mechanic

Now i found this sword quite a mixed bag really being very good in some situations, good as just a general sword and terrible in 1 situation that should be avoided at all costs. A short explanation first though. the sword performs a 6 hit combo, 3 swings, 3 disks. The swings are very much like a calibur or brandish however they move you forward a much further distance. On each swing a energy disk (small bullet basically) is fired a few tiles in front of the user, this can trigger the block and dodge reaction from enemies like: Wolvers, Gremlins, Devilites and Mecha-knights. The Charge attack is a powerful forward slash and a large energy disk that can travel through numerous enemies.

Pros
Good VS Beasts
Good VS Deviltes
Good VS Greavers
Charge attack is good VS Crowds
Destroys minerals fast (not really a pro but worth noting)
Can trigger far switches without switching to a gun

Cons
No 5* variant so not as effective during the end of tier 3
Can accidentally trigger switches you didn't want to trigger
Can trigger explosive blocks near you

And here is the biggest con of all. The Winmillion is absolutely dreadful against Mecha-knights and can easily get you killed in a group of them. Heres why, Mecha-knights have a block ability which is triggered by the Winmillion's energy bolts. You start swinging at it and the knight will block all your attacks, when you finish the combo you are vulnerable for a split second, it this second the mechaknight will attack causing substantial damage, in group of 3-4 of them this can easily kill you. I decided to further test this in the arena level robo rampage. At the end of the final room the area fills with Mecha-knights. I died. A lot. I attacked they blocked and attacked me back then i died.

TL;DR Don't use the Winmillion against Mecha-knights they will destroy you.

All in all i think it is a very good sword so its a shame there isnt a 5* variant to finish off the line but its still an equally viable weapon at 4* just as long as you have a weapon with you that can deal with Mecha-knights.

Hrrrrmm... Do you use Auto-Target? In my experience, you can't really hit Devilites well without it. I know how to control Devilite dodge movement with bullets now, but seeing as you say that Winmillion is dreadful against Mecha Knights, I doubt you have the experience to know what I'm talking about. Winmillion isn't terrible against Mecha Knights, it's quite doable to fight crowd of Mecha Knights without a mender bothering you.
I suggest stop using the full attack combo on everything (which it seems that you are doing from your post).

I have auto target assigned

I have auto target assigned to space bar so i can toggle it on and off as needed. But yes i usually have it on for deviltes, however in a crowd it can throw you about a bit which is why i like to have it toggle-able. Iv been playing since the steam release of the game as full bomber, gunner and swordsman with a variety of mixes so I would say Im quite experienced. So from my experience as a gunner im aware of how to control block and dodge reactions to a degree. The Winmillion can be used against Mecha-knights however its much more difficult than with a sword like the brandish or even the cutter. Generally 2 swings waiting until the knight stops blocking and then continuing was the most successful strategy against them. The point being using an alternative weapon is a much easier option for everyone after all its just a review and a review is only my opinion so everyone is bound to have a different experience.

Winmillion user here

Really? I find winmillion one of the best anti-mecha weapons and definitely the most fun. I couldn't say whether my ASI max affects that but I spam combos with AT and it's quite effective. First combo triggers shield, second hits in the small pause, and I shield the mecha attack before doing it one more time for the kill. Might need multiple rounds of this actually. And in crowd fights I either trigger all shields and escape or kite them around.

Building on what Kathrine said, I personally find my Winmillion to be a Mecha-Knight slaughtering machine. It hits fast enough to flinch them just before they attack, and you can snipe them with the Energy bolt so you don't get close enough to get trashed by a spin attack.

@Immortui
I use another Winmillion for fun (though if I'm being serious, my Winmillion is there for support sake). To dual-wield weapons, you require one of them to either be a different level or have different UVs. The first time I rolled on both of my Winmillions I got Beast med...(I hate Punch). At least two rolls later I got CTR med... but I can't distinguish the difference between the two... so the CTR is useless when dual-wielding.

@Trats-Romra
Well the 2* and 3* versions don't have the energy bullet and consequently deal more damage on the slash (Winmillion's damage is split up between the slash and the bullet). I'm not sure whether or not the same is applicable for Devilites, but it should be pretty good for most enemies; it does decent damage and is of the fastest swing speed (but with the longest attack combo cooldown, so be wary of using the full attack combo lest you get hit when stuck in the cooldown animation).

Thanks for the input guys,

Thanks for the input guys, I'm probably just a bad player and need to work on my technique then! My previous main weapons were Sudaruska(my favorite weapon in the game) and Volcanic pepperbox so its probably just me needing to adjust between play styles

What about gremlins? Those are great to fight with winmillion.

And I see that you haven't yet compared it to divine avenger/brandishes. Let me know how that goes.
