Three rings could create masses more gameplay simply by balancing the gear they have in game to make the less powerful items viable in comparison.
It would mean we'd have entire new gameplay styles to explore without being called a noob or idiot.
Sorry to keep moaning three rings but it's kind of getting a little annoying having almost everything out-damage my massive sword.
I'm sure they're launching these promos just to test our patience. So far they've been sucessful.
The longer it takes for them to launch the gunner update, the bigger are our expectations once it's there. Remember that, OOO.

Edit: seriously though. Although I am always backing new content (basically more ways of making cr) I don't mind how things are right now. Only because I recently started doing Arcade and man am I enjoying it. So many new monsters! Furthermore OOO are planning on adding a new tier 3 boss, make arcade even more fun and showing some much needed love to us pure gunners. So yeah I'm happy. Promos are good as well. If you're good a trading you can make hefty profit from them.

Have you ever tried going through a level as a pure bomber? Have you experienced the pain of having to hit every switch with a pot? or the agony of having to charge a multitude of bombs just to kill a singular enemy?
I'm really looking forward to a bomber update. Bombs are great fun but they need some serious mechanics altering to counter how slow they are at performing some tasks.
Why can my blast bomb only destroy one layer of blocks, or only break a crystal down one stage? same goes for Troikas. There are far too many environment features that simply do not react to force as they should D:
But bombers are the ultimate team support class.Bombs aren't meant for long range destruction. Unless you guys get a mortar type bomb. A bomber in a team gives us hope of victory! This is how I like to see things;
Swordmasters are the ultimate in offence. They are the front line, the ones who will put it all on the line. Legendary guardians of the Spiral Knight order. Swift and nimble they can quickly turn the tide in their favour.
Gunslingers are the peace keepers. They specialise in offence and support. Knowing when to fire off that all important shot is key to every battle. They work effectively alone or in teams. Can adapt to any situation. Although deadly from range a true Gunslinger must also be quick on their feet at close quarters.
Bombers are full out offensive but they need support from other classes. They are always taking alternative routes with aid from swordmasters and the legendary gunslingers. They can utilise an array of bombs to weaken the enemies defence, allowing guns and swords to pick off anything left in the destructive aftermath.

I would have, if anyone used ANYTHING but a Polaris, a Blitz Needle and a Shivermist Buster. Oh yeah, and a brandish line.
No one cares about the defensive classes, do they? I find them to be the most unique by far.
As for Cobalt Armor, this stuff deserves a bit more of a certain something, but I don't know what. Right now, Cobalt Armor is more of that legendary Knight's armor who can dodge everything and knows how to deal more DPS with a Tempered Calibur than a Chaos Clone with a Level 10 Combuster ASI Max.
Now I would love to see more content, but right now I can wait. I am just hopeing that some day, everything will become playable for anybody. No matter what you bring. Unless it's an obvious flaw or custom challenge like bringing an Acheron to a Graveyard. After all, by this time the Acheron is expected to be weaker! (Right?)

I disagree. bombs aren't meant only to support. sure, some (mist) are, but all the rest is focusing on killing crowds fast. DBB can wreck a mob of wolvers way faster than FF. Blast bomb series is good for every single mob in the game. let's not talk about DR. that thing wrecks crowds like they were nothing.
Yeah... honestly I think the people that complain about gun and bomb balance don't know how to use them. People used to complain about chaos too, and then they buffed it and I actually like it less. If you can dodge it's pretty much the only armor you'll ever run, and that doesn't exactly make load-outs interesting.
That all being said, I too am looking forward to more playable content. Oh, but hey, if the artists are listening I know you heard my discussion about party hats and cracker shields back when. We got our party hats, but I still want my cracker shield, preferably Ritz :P
I'm fine with mist bombs being for support. I have an alt that is almost exclusively mist bombs. What I have an issue with is that the blast from a big angry bomb, the biggest explosion we can use in the entire game, can only break through a group of breakable blocks one layer at a time.
One of the levels I think it's scarlet fortress (or grim gallery) as a section where you have to break about 20 rows of crystals. Imagine having to charge up 20 big angry bombs just to get through that. And yet you can get through the entire lot in about 3 antigua clips, which would take the time it would to charge maybe 2 or 3 BABs.
That's not right.
Blast bombs, and bombs in general, should be able to wipe an entire room clean of boxes with just a few placements.
And it's also a little odd how hitting a mineral deposit with a cutter or antigua bullet damages it the same amount as a bomb.
I think we can agree that just giving bombs more destructive capabilities against the environment would be an improvement?
Although the only bomb I have ever used since I have played this game was/is the DRB, I can't disagree with you on that. Bombs need more power. But then wouldn't you agree that they should work different to balance that incredible power? Either the blast radius is reduced/your movement speed is greatly reduced/or it has a very long charge time. I'm not sure just throwing ideas at you mate.
It's okay Bamz, no one even remembers the Specialist class. I feel so different form everyone else, but hey, Specialists are really fun to me.

I remember seeing something ages ago about the art team having a lot more time on their hands than the coding team.
Which makes me sad, because instead of updating different items to be more than just recolors, they focus on totally new stuff. That'd be alright, but a lot of the awesome designs for gear just ends up being used as costumes..
Surely it wouldn't hurt to just cycle the content events faster than 5 months apart or something...
