So I crafted a Faust..is it now better than my Avenger?

So I had 27 jelly tokens and nothing to spend them on. I had my Avenger and the full brute kelly set I acquired for lulz. I don't like guns so I didn't buy an antigua. When I crafted a Faust it came with UV HIGH damage vs construct.

Does that mean that the extra damage given to construct on my Avenger is now void?
Does my Faust now outclass my Avenger?
Are there statistics to support this? I know the wiki doesn't have it. Perhaps there's a thread floating around containing the UV bonuses?

I just want a reason to keep my Avenger besides its charge attack. It's a pretty cool looking sword.

Also, Divine Avenger is the best weapon in the game for FSC.

Great sword!

Going the optimal route, you'll still want a DA for FSC since it is overflowing with zombies. Also, you'll need some sort of high DPS gun to more easily deal damage at a distance for Vanaduke himself. Most people bring an Argent Peacemaker since it works well on zombies too. Occasionally you'll see Blitz Needles or Storm Drivers too.

Outside of FSC... a DA will do about 29% additional damage to something that is weak to elemental. Whereas a UV High is going to yield about a 21% increase in damage. This is T3 only, and approximate for that matter since the numbers vary by 5% depending on depth. So your new sword is decent for dealing with constructs.

Thanks for the detailed post.
I just don't like carrying two swords when I know that one makes the other absolete.

I guess I'll put Avenger in storage until I can get to FSC and use Faust for JK.

I have a Graun Faust with Medium damage boost vs construct and still a DA. As culture said the DA will do higher damage on construct regardless of the uv. + the DA spec will be great against construct compared to the GF spec which will not be worth using at all. I suggest you stick with your DA against construct type monsters. I use my graun faust at times against construct only if I am unable to switch through my weapons fast enough.
