You know those missions in the Keep where you have to rescue the poor soul from becoming one with the dead? On a couple of occasions I chose to leave them behind, not freeing them, and I still ended up earning prestige for that. Was their destiny truly entwined with that of the dead? Was I there to merely delay the inevitable? Should I be tired of rescuing the same knights from the Keep? Why can't I set out to rescue one of my friends I have befriended from a cage of the keep? When will I get my game over? I can't lose. There's no way.

gods ain't gonna help you, son.

1 this is a game. the main character always wins. well, 90% of the time. deal with it.
2 no, you cannot lose. It's no use!

EDIT: just now I regognize there is a swear word in the video. removing link. sorry GMs don't kill me. I've searched a bit and it's difficult to find a video without swars on that thing.

I always choose to leave them behind, because I know that if I bring them back, they'll just ask for my gear and then get captured again.

Those buggers asked for my Dread Venom Striker one time too many. I have no qualms with leaving them to perish.

I rescue them.

But I hate doing it.

Just what I need! Some dead weight with a sword that deals 2 DPS at max and alerts the monsters of our location! To top that all off, it can spawn another SCP-106 Kat!

Not to mention that they usually die during an arena type battle then get back up at the end of it. It's honestly even worse than players doing it because you know that the NPC will always have a spark left.

When you're fighting DarkFire Vanaduke and everyone except you, the water boy, is dead, living on only 2 pips.

I CAN'T LOSE !

Jelly Jamm is my new MLP, get over it.

Add me to the list! *brofist*

The only reason I rescue them is to use them as meat shields.
- Hello kitty-kitty!
*Kat shoots, bullet gets blocked by NPC*
*Releases Blazebrand charge from behind the NPC*

I never get tired of that.

I rescue them because I don't want to leave them behind

Even if it's just an NPC, I'll try my hardest to keep them alive and get them to the elevator. Often I'll dash through a grimalkin to save them.

I just feel bad if I leave them behind.

Yeah I like to rescue them too. I know that they are NPC's but I think I actually got sad one "died" after taking too much damage. On the subject of NPC's, I remember I got too far and I actually jumped when a mecha knight teleported to me (probably because of the bang noise they make when they do so).

I generally only don't rescue them if it means another giant ghost Kat will be chasing me. They make decent meat shields. It's also one of the few times that you'll have more than four players in your party, which is cool.

I hear this every time I skim past this thread.
