More specifically, the North American and European servers simulate the same world, so you can switch back and forth seamlessly. (Often the only sign that you have switched is a slight change in latency to the servers.) But the Asian servers simulate a separate world, with a completely different population of knights. So you'd have to make a new account. I can't comment on which is better for Oceanic players.
