His name is Damage-Assist. He's a very secretive guy, so until now you probably didn't even know he existed. Damage-Assist, like me, works for OOO. I was hired to help knights aim and better survive the clockworks. D-A was hired to help knights hit with more force and better survive the clockworks.
We were both overworked in the developmental stages of Cradle. I got sick of my job and told the Developers I wanted to quit. They didn't want to see me go, so they offered me a reduction in workload for the same pay. Now I only have to aim for those that desire my service. I can happily ignore those who don't need or want me. But I digress...This story is about Damage-Assist.

Damage-Assist is a very hardworking and humble fellow. Every day, thousands of knights venture into the clockworks and compete in the Coliseum. He services every one of them...simultaneously. Every time you land a hit, whether it is with your sword, your gun, your bomb, or even your shield bash, he is there, adding a little more "oomph" to your power. You see that gremlin you just killed in two hits? It would've taken you five if it weren't for D-A. You like your 30K Lockdown damage? 20K of that was only possible because D-A was by your side. Every time you fight, you rely on Damage-Assist, yet his face is completely absent from the Spiral world. He works 24/7 to make your lives easier in the clockworks and give you bragging rights in Lockdown, but he stays hidden, nonexistent for all you know.

So the next time you kill the Jelly King in 20 seconds flat, thank Damage-Assist. The next time someone gets higher damage than you in Lockdown, blame Damage-Assist. The next time you two-shot a gremlin in the clockworks, thank Damage-Assist. The next time someone two-shots you in Lockdown, blame Damage-Assist. You see, Damage-Assist is a symbol, not a person. He is whatever you need him to be. He is much stronger and much faster, but he stays only within your shadows. He's your silent supporter...he's the Dark Knight.
