I. Hate. Elite. Orbs. Of. Alchemy. They are even rarer than eternal orbs & in the mission rewards they only give u 2, so that's just Spiral HQ being mean. I mean, the only place I've ever gotten elite orbs is on high temperature hostages in elite, and still, most time i don't, so if any1 knows where to find them, i will be very grateful, but please i know u can get them at the AH or SD, but they just cost a ton.

Roarmulus Twins on elite difficulty, they have a slightly better chance to drop elite orbs than Jelly King.

Read the wiki page "Rarity", to get a general idea of where to find them. For more specific advice, try the web search that Krakob so graciously linked.
Also, keep in mind that you can always use crowns to buy energy, and use that energy to buy orbs. In some sense, this is the default way to craft. When you have enough orbs to craft without spending energy, you should be pleasantly surprised.

I normally do JK on elite or
I normally do JK on elite or the depths before Tier 3 Basil on Advanced or Elite. This is my strategy at getting them and there are probably more effiecient ways out there. Also, treasure vaults and arenas are your friends.

Please realize that you can always use your crowns to get energy to craft your weapon (3x elite orbs = 400 CE, which was the price for crafting 4*s before orbs)

Honestly, the only orbs worth hunting for is eternal orbs of alchemy. Just buy the elites, its very cheap.
