A game of Spiral Knights.
You could be running a whole 80(+40+20+5) floors instead of making a new costume armor piece!

After you ran these floors you have enough crowns to pay the thing EXTRA! (probably)

Why not play 145 stages right now?

Don't enjoy costume armor?
Delicious costume armor must equip.

i approve. the economy would

i approve.

the economy would break down if ppl only craft but dont run floors, cuz that's where the crown flows into the market.

infact, the 4 floors in fsc (excluding the boss fight) drop 2k crowns per floor in average, and you dont necessarily need your full 5* to run it safe and smooth, you just need to practice the fights and train your reflex.

you're missing the best part of the game if you dont fight and challenge.

Very true. Making you play

Very true. Making you play the game more is the reason for higher crafting costs, and I don't mind. The floors are nicely varied, the art is beautiful, and the music and sound effects are amazing. So go out and play. After a while you'll be surprised at how many crowns you've amassed if you just have fun and ignore crafting. Then, go craft something.

I'm not saying don't have a goal, I'm just saying you should enjoy yourself while you're here.

Ah, I see the hints in your original post. I still think the same applies throughout the game though.

Yeah, the game is rather

Yeah, playing the game itself can be pretty great, no need to get obsessed over super special gear.

I made a vile striker my first 4* item cause it looked good for jelly king and sticked with it for a loong time, on the way picking up bomber armor and bombs for fighting massive groups in t2/t3.
then I started trying firestorm citadell where I actually saw the immediate benefit to upgrading my silversix (made it on a whim way before) to AP and that was pretty much all gear I really needed. (had a CiV for some reason already) Heck, all my shields break when vanaduke hits me.

After that, only minor optimizations to strategy and gear were left to me and I actually never cared about the "costume" armors currently available. (game needs more cute helms)

Oh well, time to wait for that T1 boss. The level design will probably be pretty entertaining for a while.
