Hi erybody!
So a couple of days ago I bought a wireless Xbox 360 controller for my pc and naturally I tested it on Spiral Knights. It works, but I'm not really comfortable with the default control scheme and can't really figure one out myself.
So my question to you is: what gamepad control scheme do you use?

EDIT: Also post which gamepad you use (for people who consider buying a gamepad)

Left stick: movement
Right stick: direction
Triggers: attack/defend
Left bumper: Modifier
Right bumper: Toggle Auto Target
Face buttons: weapons
Press sticks and share/options: vial slots
Mod+sticks, mod+X: sprite skills
Mod+O: toggle map
Mod+triggers: shield bash/dash.

Think that's about it. Using a Dual Shock 4.

Mod + dual input

What is this mod you're talking about and how would you input a combination in the custom control area?

The modifier input can be assigned to a button. It's used to make two-button inputs, such as the ones I listed. You simply hold the mod button and press the other button when assigning input to make a double input combination. Modifier is found just above the shortcuts for /commands in the controls setup.

Krakob might be talking about the modifier button (default is Left shift(For keyboard+mouse). Personally,I would like to see my mouse cursor. So I don't play with one. Try out other control mappings and see which is best for you, as everyones preferenses are different.

Whoaaa I didn't know about

Whoaaa I didn't know about the modifier button. I might have to reassess how I have my controls set up now.

What I use is largely the default with only a few minor tweaks. I think I switched around shielding and strafe. And assigned the pet skills to clicking in the sticks for 1 and 3, and 2 is the Back button. Start is my push to talk for my mic.
