I understand the snow is pretty and you guys really don't want us to miss it, but some of us running older machines can't take the dancing ashes of forge levels or the constant snowflakes. The little bit of extra rendering screws our speed the last inch or so into the floor, and the end result? When you tap the mouse button trying to get a combo, the game lags too hard to read that you let go of the button, so you just sit there charging like an idiot while the enemy bashes you in the face.

So, yes. In the Options menu, we most definitely need the ability to turn these effects off. I'm sure the rest of your level will give us the feeling you were looking for.
