I really thought Biscotti was a guy and didn't want to be sexist since a stereotypical thing for a woman is to cook. OOO wai so sexist. I'm not going to really complain about because I love cake :3
Dat awkward moment when you realize Biscotti is a girl.
When did character gender matter in this game? No one has a voice, Knights are a humanoid alien species, and the civilization we follow has been stranded on Cradle for three years in escape of a near-genocidal war.
Also how can anyone tell?
Also, just because a character falls near a stereotype it's not automatically rude. If it was mildly common then there would be an argument for that, but I don't see that kind of stuff obstructing the game anywhere. Besides, this year's cook is so bad/amazing that they weaponized cake while also turning it into a currency at the same time. How can a binary variable like gender even make a difference there?
They refer to Biscotti as "her" in multiple instances(& she has a Plume Accessory, though, this is debatable).
Well, Ian McConville (hope I spelled that right :/) has a wife who is also a baker. And I think she has blonde hair, as does Biscotti in that she has a regal plume.
Y'know that in real life, men outnumber women in real cook jobs by a large, large margin?
Men in the kitchen. Women waitstaff. I had to fight to get into the kitchen at my last job.
What about Desna? I don't think that's sexist at all. Oh, and the Storm Champion Helms description states that a she had worn it.
Yeah, I'm under the impression that men are in majority in terms of professional cooking as well.
Wait...
Biscotti is a girl!? :O
Yeah... all my friends discovered it too when they talked to that Gremlin Chef.
I'm not going to respond to other people since I don't wanna spark an arguement.
I didn't see that coming when looking at the patch note
Seriously?
Patch Notes - April 4, 2012
"It's a Caketastrophe!
Visit the Haven Town Square to meet the Skylark's Head Chef, Biscotti. She will inform you of a 'situation' at hand that involves hordes of monstrous cakes known as 'Creep Cakes.' Helping her solve this 'situation' will reward you with cake helms! Features include:"
EDIT:
For those that weren't around in 2012 (or 2013, since the post had pretty much the same starting bit), 2014's post also mentions Biscotti being a girl.
This is why people should stop being lazy enough to not read patch notes. :p
I never paid too much attention to the patch notes. I found out Biscotti was a girl when I looked at the home page XD
I mean the day when Biscotti was walking around haven but the point is wrost idea for her to use dark matter for the cakes
Ever completed Metroid in under five hours? You'll find Samus to be a girl.
And guess what happens if you complete it in under ONE hour?
Dat awkward moment when you post something like this and you wait for a girl to reply.
