What are Moonstone and Valestone for now?

I know that all 5 types of minerals (Crimsonite, Lumnite, Moonstone, Valestone, and Dark Matter) used to be able to influence which levels were in a gate for a given depth. However, now that minerals are used for crafting sprite food and not affecting gates, what are Moonstone and Valestone for? Maybe OOO will release new battle sprites for players who have maxed out their current sprites? Or maybe...yeah, I can't think of anything else. Are there any other hypotheses out there? Because I am utterly stumped.

P.S. Is 3 capital letter o's the proper (although informal) notation for Three Rings? Or is it 3 zeroes?

They have no purpose.

Everyone believes they'll be adding new sprites for Valestone and Moonstone. What you do with them is entirely up to you, whether you collect them in an attempt to get rich when they release the new sprites, or just ignore them entirely, which is what I'm doing right now. Either way, they're pretty much useless right now.

Also it's OOO, with a capital 'o'.

Recently, a peculiar feature was added to the game: Biscotti now walks around Haven, followed by two servants carrying blue and green minerals. I take this as a signal, because of course Biscotti is also in charge of the sprite food machine in the Lab.

That or Biscotti bought them off of other knights, and moonstone and valestone were marginally cheaper.

Moonstone is used for making the cakes because the Gremlin Chef (Never learned his name because I keep forgetting xD) says "...and a dash of moonstone." or something like that. I don't know but I assume the Valestone is also an ingredient.

Fehzor, how do you win a superbowl with minerals?

And...I guess you have a time machine? How else would you go back roughly 30 years to that specific superbowl? ...Or am I being incredibly ignorant right now? Or am I asking too many questions?

It was in reference to an older thread about the mineral achievements, and one of the developers responded saying you can't get them anymore and you also can't win the 1987 Super Bowl either.

Yep.

Hopefully, the developers will implement a way for knights to win the 1987 Superbowl with their minerals. I was really wanting to have done that in the future.
