Auto aim makes this sword so OP.... finally I had farmed 3200ce and got this legendary sword.... For enemies this sword is OP when auto target is on.. trust me..
Warmaster rocket hammer
Yes, WRH and Combuster and Acheron are all overpowered. But at least WRH isn't trivially easy to use. Getting the most out of it requires some skill and practice. Combuster and Acheron can slaughter anything, even in the hands of a newbie without much skill. So I'd like to see those rebalanced before WRH.
Could rocket towards all the enemies.. if an enemy is behind use the third combo..
Hit... rocket... Hit front/left/right/backwards
Yes, Warmaster Rocket Hammer can be considered OP to some, but to other's it could be considered one of the worst weapons in the game.
To be honest, it has one of the steepest learning curves of any weapon in the game. Or at least I think so. Anyway, try using it without AT. It's even better because you only have to *barely* clip an enemy in order to get the three hits in on the dash, but unlike using AT, doing it without AT doesn't put you right in front of the enemy when you do it. I also find it much easier to control without AT, but that's just me.
Using the hammer without AT effectively lets you "dance" around your enemies without fear of getting hurt, while still doing insanely high DPS at the same time.
Yeah. Then try it without AT and midstepping and you'll learn what true-er OP-ness is.
Yup. Learn to hold the dash in while you take a half step forward, that's what'll prevent you from stopping dead against enemies like you hit a utility pole. Then combine it with Scorching Barrier and for a glorious ten seconds you can destroy small groups as quickly as a Brandish spammer.
Its really not THAT powerful in the grand scheme of things, purely due to the fact that you have to get up in their face. Try using it on a tortodrone and tell me how it goes.
Well, yeah. Combuster still wins the OP race. Still, WRH is probably better in terms of combo DPS if used well.
I don't know about you but I found it quite useful for removing the last chunk of their health. Spatial awareness seems to be the key to success in its use if you ask me.
Putting AT off makes it so slippery for the hammer..... I tried to do this but.... dashed into the fire at FSC lol..
I will try to master the rocket hammer without putting AT.....
Hammer can be OP if the person knows how to use it well, otherwise it is on par with the other heavy swords. It is one of the weapons that works much better without AT than with AT though. Don't use AT with it in LD, it'll just get you killed... especially against guardians.

You don't want AT off per say, just disabled by default so that you can hold a key and autotarget at your discretion.
There are some instances, like when fighting turrets near spikes, where you don't want to dash around them and would rather just face-smash into them.

Very true. I did this all the time when I used it. Saved my bacon a lot.
But those were in the old days. I like DVS way better.
EDIT: Okay fine I'll say more on the topic. I also found that, if you have to use the charge attack, it's best to hit things with the farthest tip of the first explosion. Then they stay away from you, and you're less likely to get attacked by what you're smashing. It also seems like it's more likely to hit twice, because if you use it too close, you'll possibly slide around them and miss the second smash. AT is also handy when it comes to doing this, because then you can ensure that your target moves straight ahead rather than to the side.
Yeah. Then try it without AT and midstepping and you'll learn what true-er OP-ness is.
