Open recipe menu, shield, and you can walk. This can break all the "busy" animations, but it's not worth fixing. It's useful, because you can save some time when for example checking something in character menu - you cannot walk. With glitch you can just walk slowly, so some time is saved.

You probably can't exploit that (by changing eq when not on arsenal station for example), too lazy to check.
