People were complaining about

People were complaining about how infrequent updates were even when Nick was still working on the game. It's likely unrelated and people are just looking for somebody to blame for the delays. I highly doubt that somebody as nice and well-respected as Nick would leave his coworkers high and dry, otherwise I don't think he'd be very well-respected.

This is where I would link to a facepalm gif or make a comment or rant about how one person isn't responsible for every update, but I know it's hopeless to try.

He definitely doesn't have

He definitely doesn't have anything else lined up for himself, either. https://twitter.com/NickPopovich/status/434035136141615104

There's a lot of stuff in development and if they released it unfinished, people would be unhappy. Delays are fine with me as long as I get cool new working content in the end. We're supposed to get a new T3 boss and the Arcade redux at one point, too, how do we know that this isn't also tied into the gunner update? (We don't.) That'll add a lot more stuff that would need balancing and tweaking. Which takes time! There is more than one person coding but they're still a small team. This isn't EA or Blizzard (thankfully), so this stuff takes a bit longer.

Oh here, take this:

I heard you needed a facepalm.

And just a head's up, the list of names in the first post are nothing but game masters. They don't program anything.

Hey Darkcub, did you copy that list from the Game Master's wiki page? Great job with that. This thread is truly a testament to your unrivaled knowledge about the Three Rings development team.

gods ain't gonna help you, son.

continuing to what hex ironically said, those are GMs, not devs, and have nothing to do with programming or updates.
