You are alone.

Your Morai countrymen despise you. Military police will arrest you on sight, and the Imperial detectives will hunt you down to the four corners of the earth. Nearly everyone is out to get you, and only your courage, hope, and friendship can carry you through to the end. Win the hearts and minds of your fellow countrymen; take back your world little by little, and maybe, just maybe, you can restore the home you lost so long ago.

Until then, guide your families safely. They're all depending on you.
__________

This RP will not focus much on combat. Instead, survival and wits are the name of the game. New players will each be granted a 'surprise' of some sort at the start of the game that will define how you play for the duration of the RP. Don't worry; it'll rarely (if ever) be a negative thing, and shouldn't be a disadvantage.

Your story will always begin the same way: you wake up with selective amnesia, so an entire segment of your life has vanished from your memory. You will usually (but not always) wake up in a bed, sometimes at home, and sometimes in a hospital bed. From there, you must try to live your life without getting caught or killed by the people around you.

Try not to get yourself lynched.

*sigh*

I didn't want to flood the Treasure Vault with extra RPs, which is one of the reasons I branched it off of Psych's, but the response has been kinda sickening. I don't need his lore to make this story work.

I'm half-inclined to just graveyard this thing altogether.

Name: Corem Noir

Appearance: http://data2.whicdn.com/images/65244880/large.jpg

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Occupation: Thief

Bio & Personality: Noir was an orphan from the start. His parents were killed in the Morai Wars, so an orphanage took him in. Howver, the place was terrible, with abusing teachers, and the tiniest of rations. So, when he was about ten, he escaped, and became a street urchin, stealing from people and using it to buy his food and clothing. He made several friends, one of which was girl named Angel, whom he developed a crush upon. While it was apparent to the other friends that she reciprocated these feelings, he was always oblivious, and so he never got to say goodbye when a squad of officers dragged her away. Noir never heard from her again, although he suspects her to be alive. The law soon, inevitabley, found out about him, and when he was sixteen, teams were sent to apprehend him. They managed to get him after two years of evasion, and they tested their experimental memory wipe machine on him. He woke up in a bed, with only his last name and Angel coming back. to him.

Noir is a very sad person, due to the way his orphange treated him, and the loss of the one thing he loved in his miserable life. However, he hides this depression behind a cheerful, slightly wierd façade. He has also been known for his survival instict and his wits, which he developed on the streets. Now, just because he is an outlaw doesn't mean he is unintelligent. In fact, he is the opposite, at least in terms of survival and trickery, when he can quickly disarm a guard usinging nothing but the shadows and his fists. The disadvantage to this is that he can't do math, other than addition and a few basic multiplication problems.

Other Notes: The only part of his name he remembers is his last name, Noir, so he calls himself that. Also, he came up with his original name from an ancient leader, whose name was Corem, and a book he had stole, which was entitled The Noir Project. This was because the orphanage only gave him a number: 24601. Finally, he remebers Angel, and yearns to find her.

No matter what RP, no matter when, I'll be there with you.

Name: Berundly
Appearance: A large bodied man, not obese, but rotund, with a admirable belly. (I'm sorry, I've been reading too much Game of Thrones.) Deep, verdant, emerald eyes set in a face lined with smile wrinkles.
Gender: Male
Age: 40
Occupation: Merchant, Trader and a manipulative Economist.

Bio: Berundly was often aptly called Bawdy Berundly, always cracking up jokes of all manners no matter the occasion. It became quite apparent at an early age that he hadn't the aptitude to become a Spiral Knight, being uncomfortably pudgy and slow; he memorized all the fighting techniques, but could never execute them.

Marginalized by his appearance and lack of ability, he stayed at home, usually trying to find something useful to do. His father, a head supplier on the Skylark with lineage to wealthy families back on Isora, often brought Berundly trinkets and such, though berated his pathetic lackwit at failing being a Knight, citing how even he could handle a sword decently. Berundly soon found out however, that people were willing to notice him when he ostensibly waved around his father's gifts. It soon came to him that people would follow those that had the most, and he took advantage of that, quickly learning and rapidly becoming the most popular around.

Once liberated from his isolation, he was able to come out with his true personality, laughing and jesting at every moment, being extremely extroverted. Of course, those that cared about him only for his wealth (which he didn't actually have that much of, merely deceiving them into thinking he did) laughed along for fear of losing status, but amongst those, he did make real friends that supported him.

By the time he reached Cradle, he took no spare moments to begin the distribution and capitalism of goods. Within less than a decade, he became famously rich, owning a vast majority of goods, distributed in a variety of places. He made a name for himself, but that name he had forged tediously. He knew that there would be those that sought to murder him and steal his amassed wealth, or worse take him hostage. Berundly ensured that it was known that without him, his wealth would vanish, and distributed the goods to his trusted friends, but of course, it was merely a trick to prevent people from targeting him, as his share holders could not divulge his possessions even if taken.

He however, owns no companies of the sort, mainly preferring intimate trades and local exchanges.

Personality: Berundly is an amusing man to be around, and many find it nigh impossible to not at least crack a smile around him. Despite being rich, he is not condescending, cowardly, ignorant or arrogant, being fairly humble. The most crucial aspect of his success is his wits. He knows very well how to control people, playing with their innate greed. He is not only a master of money, but can also form complex ideas, such as a tacticians work.

Other Notes: Can't defend himself, even if his life - oh wait, it probably would. He has no skill with weaponry, but his mind is his ultimate weapon.

I think that you really let me have a ball with this one, Thinslayer :)

Bearing Bad Luck and Other Misfortunes~!

Name: Alexis Batu (Mongolian for "Firm/Stable")

Appearance: http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140214125957/swordartonline/images/...

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Occupation: Electrician / Student

Bio & Personality:

Isora, somewhere in its enigmatic and long past, could be said to have gone wrong somewhere at some point in time. Whether it had to do with the technology removing responsibilities that once encumbered mankind, or the tidal wave of social upheavals that favored the survival of the lesser-fit beings, no person could ever put the blame on. Perhaps it was just nature coming back to bite Isorans in the gluteus maximus after eons of being forced to accommodate their ilk, or perhaps it was the work of a "God" (or gods) that no one had the slightest care for. Regardless of the "reason", mankind was assigned a fate that would condemn them to living in a world that wanted nothing of them.

What IS known is this : the medium of this execution was made none other by Man's striving towards perfection, towards the "conquering" of Nature. The Morai, synonymous to Moirai, or Fate in one of the many now-dead languages, were born not of endless eras of genetic blending, but of selected perfections that were only just potential to be expressed in the average person. Not that many Isoran children weren't born under similar circumstances (in-vitro had its wonders), but again, imperfection was inherent in DNA, and there was no way to start from scratch under the wrong circumstances. Not until Isorans came about did this happen, by then, it was too late to fix what had been done. Morai weren't made of the same fabric as Isorans, but that's for another story...

When one looks at Isora in its early, feeble beginnings, s/he will notice the key differences that were "adverse" to advancement of technology and comfortable ideals. Death, instead of being feared, was respected, and with it, came new life. Instead of being brought up to associate death with loss, death simply meant opening the door for a neighbor, bipedal or not. Imperfection was not, at that ancient time, an incentive for useless banter. Life and death depended on a cesspool of environmental factors, all of which put Man to the test. Only the more intelligent, the stronger, the faster members of society could survive. And it got so to the point that even naturally, Man had already achieved victory before it even knew it.

Tribes that sought to live with nature, as opposed to simply using the planet, were the unsung, discredited victors.

And it was the main reason why Alexis had left her clan of shepherds to live in the cities, away from the smelly oxen, in favor for the bright artificial lights that fascinated her. She was only 6 then, and her father accompanied her faithfully. There, she picked up more than a few things at an electronics repair store that she had passed by every day on the way to school.

It was when she was 9 that the Morai flooded in, and in the panic that ensued, Alexis saw her entire known world burning. Her entire family, in the plateaus somewhere, were dying. Her father's voice was but an echo.

She finally arrived at the City, unnamed as it was, where several of the Order's spacecraft were taking off. But Alexis had no intention of becoming a soldier, and so she was left behind, still reading books in class, still visiting her friends' houses to fix their wiring and circuitry, still trying to ignore the threat at her doorstep.

Still trying to get by, living a life infinitely more harsh than what shepherding had to offer.

Personality and others :

While she hasn't openly expressed it, she is more supportive of the Morai than she is of the Isorans, though she frankly disagrees with their methods. In normal conversation, she tends to dodge many questions out of wanting to hide her past. She has been bullied before, the reason for that being her family's occupation. When not being talked to, she has a bad habit of eavesdropping on others. It comes to the point where she begins to know about some surprisingly confidential things about her friends. While she dislikes how tech is being used in media, she has an extreme fascination for the industrial machinery. Hence, her only electronic records are bank transactions and her discounts for being a public services worker. Unlike most other young women, Alexis is sturdier from her childhood and occupation, and it shows in her school's PE courses. She also dislikes most fashion trends, and can be considered a tomboy for her more masculine tastes in fashion.

And no, dirty jokes gain only her disrespect. It comes from being raised up in a society that isn't diluted in an orgy of misused tech.

Other Notes :

-In her apartment, she keeps her own toolbox, gloves, boots, earplugs, welding mask, hard-hat, and insulating suit.

-On her right thumb, she wears a ring of bone. The purpose of such an accessory is known only to a few who dabble in older weaponry.

-Can learn how to repair military devices; knows how to repair and modify civilian equipment.

-Her left eye is exceptionally good, but her right eye is bad enough to warrant glasses.

First posts of the day.

For Aekun

Corem Noir awoke on an alleyway street, bruised and beaten by unknown foes. Leaning over him was a young woman dressed in a simple white gown with a golden pendant around her neck. Her silver eyes gazed worriedly at his face while her soft white hair gently fell over his cheeks. "Hey! Wake up! You okay?" she asked in a smooth, mature voice.

For Hexlash

Berundly awoke on a comfortable hospital bed, attended by a few nurses. Sitting at his bedside was a young man clad in a dirty, water-logged brown longcoat with a large wide-brimmed hat on his head. Seeing Berundly awaken, he tipped his hat in greeting and continued reading his book.

I'm such a Dunce!

I apologize for my ignorance to the lore; next time, I'll actually LOOK at the lore and understand what it means. I'm not sure why you accepted my app anyways, but thanks. :)

IC: It took a moment for Berundly to slip out of his unconscious daze. Frantically, he scoured his memory for anything to discern why he was here to no avail. Glancing back at the man who so casually acknowledged his awakening, Berundly couldn't keep his eyes of the state of his attire. Despite his appearance, the man appeared superbly composed.

"Good book, eh? More interesting than this ol' man to be sure!" Berundly barked out a laugh. "It's not every day you wake in the hospital with no memory of how you arrived. Would it be much of a bother to give me your name?" Berundly asked as he leaned forward to try and glimpse the title of the book.

"A young man like yourself has a lot to give in this world, but I prefer friendly exchanges." Berundly smiled broadly. Whatever had happened to him, he would find out.

Surprise for Feline-Grenadier

For Feline-Grenadier

Alexis awoke strapped to a chair in a concrete room. About two yards in front of her was a tinted plexiglass window, behind which stood three men in white lab coats. An IV with a full parenteral nutrition solution was connected to her upper arm. "Welcome back, Alexis Batu," said one of the men through a speaker. It was probably the one standing in the middle. "You survived your augmentation procedure. Can you speak?"

Alexis only looks up at the light above for a few moments, and drops her head with a sharp exhale.

She closes her eyes, and continues to ponder in silence, as if she was asleep.

Strapped...was I going to hurt anybody? Or was it something about hurting myself? No...no...hm...

Her eyes are half-opened, glazed as though she was still-half conscious.

"You should now be able to perceive magnetic fields, infrared and ultraviolet light, and ultrasound. We will test you on these senses shortly; if you perceive anything different in your surroundings, let us know."

First, the room was magnetized, followed by strange lights and an abominable sound. The magnetic field changed directions periodically. "Which way is the magnetic field pointing right now?" (It should be pointing toward the window atm).

"Did you see the lights?"

"Did you hear any sound?"

"Sounds like someone dumped a pile of dung onto a subwoofer, I swear..."

She begins to squint as her eyes become over-exposed to the frequencies from the windows. As the lights shine in her eyes, she averts her gaze from the windows, and look straight down.

Take it all off. The sensory inputs, I mean.

@Aekun

The young woman choked up a little, holding back a flattered chuckle. "Thanks, but now's not the time for flattery. Save your breath." She smiled warmly at him, the youthful twinkle in her eyes seeming to brighten up the otherwise dreary alleyway they were walking through. She was quite strong; he found that he could lean on her as much as he needed to without causing her to falter. It was just as well; his legs felt like they were on fire, and seemed to explode with every step he took.

The journey to the hospital seemed to take ages, while in fact it was only half an hour away. All the way there, she spoke comfortingly to him, easing his pain with her soft words and soothing voice. When they passed through the front doors, she called out to the staff, "Please, help me! This man is hurt badly and needs help!" Nurses and medical attendants rushed to his side, and before he knew it, he found himself on a stretcher and being rolled into the emergency room. The woman followed him as far as she could before a doctor had to stop her and hold her back.

Anesthesia soon took over him...
__________

He awoke once more on a hospital bed to find a nurse standing at his bedside taking notes. "Good, you're awake. How do your legs feel?" she asked flatly.

@Feline-Grenadier

"We're just broadcasting a random ultrasonic frequency. Seems like you are responding well to all sensory inputs." The latches on the chair released her limbs, letting her free to move around. A door on the other side of the room opened up automatically. "There is a chip in your head that forces you to do whatever we tell you to. Once you have served for ten years, you shall be released from your service to the Legion. You are free to go."

Might as well try to create a character

Name: Amy
Appearance
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Occupation: Explorer
Bio: Amy was a explorer and learned how to sneak by using shadows to her advantage but with her exploring also made others much more angry. One time when Amy explored an area which said "Warning! Do Not Enter!" Amy still entered and found a unique ring but when she picked it up and put it on, a giant creature with a hammer broke through a wall and started chasing after Amy.
Amy managed to get away from the creature and that area but the ring wouldn't get off her hand. She knows she needs to be careful of the morai's and that creature...
Personality: Kind, calm, hates when people are very angry, can get sad pretty quickly and is a bit shy.
Other Notes:
Wears a ring which has a green gem embedded in it. Legends say that this ring gives the owner immunity to poison and so they can't die by poison. Legend hasn't been proven if it's true or not.
Uses shadows to try and hide.
Has insomniac and struggles to get a good night sleep.

Your unique abilities lend themselves very well to the field of espionage, which is where you shall do most of your work. For the moment, go home. *Name: Hisare Neri
*Appearance: (Wibbley Wobbley) - (Wait a sec, We both took the same character appearance? Noooooes! At least we can agree that she's probably the best character in SAO. Anway, I guess I'll take the other half you have not. *Why does that just sound wrong? Ahh!*)
*Gender: Female (Is it not prominent that I'm almost always playing as a girl?)
*Age: 16
*Occupation: Artist/Cook
*Bio: Ten years ago, Hisare lost her family to a man with low morals, Who thought stealing was Justifiable. (It is, Sometimes!)
She and her family were taken hostage, So that the man could use them as bait. A robbery was taking place, In Hisare's mother's nephew's house. He was rich, and lived by himself. Over the years, He had become corrupted with money, The very thing that gave him his place in life.
When Hisare was finally able to think for herself, She started caring for herself, In her mother's old home. She learned to cook for herself, and take care of herself- And that's exactly what she did, For ten years.
But now, She has been framed...
*Personality: Much like another character that I've created recently (Darnit, I think it's too obvious who my favorite character is!) Hisare thinks that emotions ruin work easily. Not just art, But things like cooking, and fighting. But when she truly does let her feelings out, She feels like a whole different person. She's Naive, Caring, and Kind.
*Other Notes: Hisare's Amnesia will have been a full round type, And is caused by an unknown person.

Remove the part about Cradle in my app, and replace instead with something around the lines of Berundly preparing to exploit the impending civil war-ish. That makes more sense :P

IC: "Business partner!" Berundly remained unflinching, his smile still held across his face. He was no fool. This entire scene had the scent of some trap. "And what would you say if I was serious?" One of the nurses left the room, clipboard in hand and Berundly's eyes on her back. Nothing seemed amiss, or not as much as it could have been. He needed some time to assess the situation, but was placing trust into some drably dressed man the right move?

"Hmm . . . well, since we have the same last name, I assume so, and Angelica. . .wait . . .Angel! She- she's the girl that I had a crush on when I was young! She-she's one of the only things I remember! Everything else is gone!" He said, sitting straight up, but another jolt of pain shot through his back.

"Ow. . .perhaps I should stay down."

Yes. "Business partners".

@Hexlash

Astran nodded slightly, returning his gaze to his book. "Seems you got yourself into a royal heap of trouble with the government. You're lucky I got you outta there when I did."

He paused. "If you were serious...well, then I'd have to call the doctors in on you, and we both know how you feel about that. You hate doctors, last I checked. 'Bunch o' superstitious quacks', you'd say."

The nurse stepped back in mild shock. "Oh my gosh, you are amnesic! Stay here, and don't move." She rushed out of the room calling for a 'Doctor Andersen' or something.

Angelica tiptoed up to the door and peeked in. "Is everything all right?" she whispered.

Corem turned his head. "Yep. So, I have a suspicion. Are you . . . Angel?" he asked her, a questioning expression on his face. "If you aren't, the who are you?"

Amnesia at its finest.

Angelica stepped into the room, concern and confusion written all over her face. "Of- of course I'm Angel, your wife! Don't- don't you remember? Are you okay?" She rushed up to his side and searched his face anxiously for clues.

Suddenly, Doctor Andersen stepped in with a Morai Enforcer. "Are you Corem and Angelica Noir?" the Enforcer asked grimly. Angelica nodded slowly and glanced at Corem.

"Angel! I- I'm sorry! I can't remember a thing at all!" he said, "But I remember you, Angel." Just then, the Morai Enforcer stepped into the room, demanding that they tell their names. "Of course those are our names!" said Corem, "Why do you ask?"
