A day is coming when the gunner update will be released...
And on this day the forums will explode in fiery glory and joy....
A few days will pass....
And then the people of SK will find something else to complain about.

There is always something to complain about if we are all bored of whole months w/out any updates that may give us anything to play or make. And don't be so happy if gunner's update is comming soon. I know alredy gunner's update won't give us so many useful stuf.
I hate the hype over the gunner update lol.
What's the point of more items if there's nowhere to use them, or if the gameplay still feels the same? Also, not many people use the existing guns anyway, even if many of them are useful in the current 'endgame'.
Try T3 boss or fixing the arcade and you'll have something all players can be happy about lol.
I'm saying this in the context of the battle sprite update - A lot of the friends who got me into SK came back for that update... then left after two weeks because Vanaduke was still the last mission to play and the Arcade levels were still the same.
I'm no longer hyped for the Gunner Update.
All the hype in me has been donated to SSB4.
whoa, totally confused that pic for Tomodachi Life hype.
Also another thing I don't understand :;
The hype will come from seeing the download screen, then the patch notes saying: "Gunner Update has finally arrived! Please enjoy the 24 new Blasters and CoD uniforms that hide all personal color and provide ASD high and MSI low!"
Then the hype will go away.
^
Not to mention more toxicity and moaning on the forums. Heck, it would become Compound 42.
Remind me to appear when that happens, I'm expecting a crowd with so much anger they look like red roarmulas twins
@Dermog
I'm hyped for SSB4 as well! But I also can't wait for the gunner update. I couldn't help but peek at one of the guns in SS, (It was an accident...trust me!) and ooooh boy.
...is Gilded Griffin, piercing Antigue-based line. Maaaaybe it will help me deal with fiends a bit.
Though given the sad state of existing piercing guns, it may turn out being Gelded Griffin.
My hype for the Gunner Update and other September stuff ended in a few weeks because I was busy with SSB4 like everyone else.
As a side note, I wish that people would stop begging for Mewtwo. Go check out ANY live reaction of Greninja's reveal for proof.
tbh I'm not all too excited about the gunner update, I think the dev team could probably find something else more worthwhile to put their time and energy into. I am however looking forward to how the update will change up gameplay and party dynamics. If guns become a more balanced and viable option, more people will become gunners, and this could be cool in terms of the structure of a party and how you play.
I personally think that they sort of ruined the whole idea of the arcade and the concept of exploration and discovery. When I first came to sk the idea of exploring into the unknown of the clockworks and being able to control the levels of the gates through mineral deposits was very attractive and it set apart this game from the other generic mmo's. But they've basically killed these two things firstly by introducing missions which basically hold your hand all the way until end game and render 'adventuring' sort of redundant; it's much easier and faster to simply grind through the missions to get freebies and gear. All exploration and simple 'arcade runs' are mostly left until end game when people get bored of repeating missions and grinding fsc. They also of course removed the mineral depositing system which was one of the main selling points of the game when I saw it. And what is even the point of having bosses in the normal clockworks apart from missions?
Battle sprites was great new content and all but in terms of gameplay I think I could definitely live without them, and the introduction of the sprites killed the functionality of the arcade which caused the mineral deposit system's removal. To me that seems like a bad trade.
All this said, I think player-created content such as maps would be good as an end-game thing as it potentially leads to infinite hours of new gameplay.
TL;DR..
Personally I think I would prefer if sprites and the missions system didn't exist.
You think you would prefer?

Sprites are fine. Missions aren't because of this.
It's not that I don't like sprites I just think they don't really add anything worthwhile.
We won't even HAVE those days of glory, the moment it gets released they'll be complaining about it already.
