Shock is the current autoseller's theme of the day, and the next Vanaduke gate is going to launch tonight. The autosellers might get different minerals to make a different theme of the day for the next gates, but we're going to have to step in ourselves to change Copper Bishop.

Pushing Yellow above Blue seems to be our best chance in all of the strata, as this will give us anti-Undead and thus a randomized gate. Red is also valid for strata 1, to make it (anti-)Fiend. If we can make it so Blue, Yellow, and Purple each give two crowns in the lower strata right before the gate launches, it might stick.

(This might also be an early call for an alloy, and maybe a closer look into mineral spawns in general. I don't think OOO intended for this change to make the gates look like a crappy weather report.)

I don't think it's autosellers that are making the gates all shock themed, we went a few days with the new system and all the gates under construction save the two people were trying to make a certain theme all the way were fairly mixed up pretty quickly, the all shock theme thing is new, and seems more likely to be the doing of someone or several someones purposely making everything shock themed.

You would need a ton of people to force an entire gate to be shock themed. More likely a few entire fully fleshed out guilds. Might it also be possible that with the removal of the gate construction stuff that a gate now defaults to shock until enough minerals are in it to override it?

Copper Bishop and Jade Titan

Copper Bishop and Jade Titan did not spawn as shock themed, they spawned as Undead and Jelly (the latter people had been trying to keep all jelly themed, but anytime a part of it gets turned back to jelly now, it gets returned to shock eventually)

Copper Bishop was fairly mixed up until recently when all the gates started becoming shock themed. Iron Knight was the first gate to go through under the new system, and if you look at it you will see it is a bit more diverse than past gates have been. Not to mention the new system is set up to prevent this from happening if people only autosell.

So no I'm not convinced that the all shock theme we have going on is the result of auto sellers, because previous gates were mixed, and it's much easier to influence a gate theme now than it was before.

Mission Accomplis... Well it's pure fiend now except for the first strata which is anti-fiend. Anti is still yellow, at least.

Cool.

I'm good with all fiend. Now I just have to convince people to advance a little cautiously so that when the greavers spawn we can take them out a couple at a time instead of getting swarmed by them and... well, I'm sure everyone knows how -that- turns out.
