Would you rather play with a decently ranked knight with good skills that you can actually physically talk to, or a stranger who is of a slightly higher rank than the person you know?
Rank over communication?
a stranger who is of a slightly higher rank than the person you know
Because that would mean new missions came out.
a stranger who is of a slightly higher rank than the person you know
This, unless by higher rank you mean people with 45k+ prestige, who use nothing but BKC + Chaos, and do nothing but spam Combuster charges everywhere and have a click fest with their Antiguas instead of just using a gun that actually does something useful for the party, then heck no.
But other than that, I would prefer a stranger who is of a slightly higher rank than the person you know.
It doesn't matter to me who is in my parties. The game doesn't have leveling. Also, there's little to no chat
Is that there are people so full of themselves, they just have to wave their crap at your face;kick you from the party for being a lower ranked, wearing common gear or being late a few seconds. If some people knew about the "go solo" button, that'd be great

"kick you from the party for being a lower rank"
Why? Rank only limits your equipment, not common sense. So battles would probably take longer, but if your in need of crowns, why not let people of lower ranks in? 4x drop rate right?
@Dahall I never considered myself good at fiends but when it came to farming the Return of Ur mission for the Tortodrone update I often got paired with people who looked down on me because I used 3Star angelic set with 4star weapons. I'm telling this because I outlived all the others on that team, it must be embarrassing for a group of Vanguards to be outplayed by a defender elite. (most ragequit)
@all I should have been more specific about ranks and whatnot.
Would you take a Defender you can talk to and know, or a Defender elite you cant talk to and don't know?
Prestige plays no role in this

I still am trying to figure out what you mean? Sure, i've seen "apprentice" ranks survive longer than vanguards sometimes , but when I try to communicate with them they don't say anything or I can't hear them because they are on their mics. Probably the latter.I don't know, I guess they think they are "too good" and they have "skill"
There's no real skill or "combos" you can pull off. Well people say vortex+[Insert weapon name] is a "combo".
Again, I tried to understand what you are saying.
You do not apply common sense in most of your replies.Of course no one would like a knight ranking person in their party, however, above that is 4* and 5* wielders which are ideal for the lower depths.Plus, many knights are probably the older ones coming back to the game(meaning their equipment are probably 5* but they have not done the missions yet).
The one I could talk to and know, preferably through voice chat. Some of us old vets won't be here forever.
Also, pretty sure absolutely no one cares about ranks in general except the people who like looking at their own big numbers.
I just wanna play with a couple of friends of mine who barely play anymore :c
Ranks are terrible. They should be representations of skill, not gear... either that, or just get rid of them entirely.

How so?
I like socializing, but you generally won't find me initiating a conversation on my own in the middle of a run. Mostly because it would feel like I'm holding people back by trying to interact with them. The other half is the back-head thought that I'm not gonna get much conversation out of them anyway.
