What makes you think that they've changed?
If you're coming back to the game after a hiatus, try reading Release/all. You can even do a "find" within the page, to see news about shard bombs. There is none.

They're still the same. None of their bugs got fixed.

Ah the update that changed one of the best weapons in the game into utter garbage. How i wish i had my old radiant sun shards... Now i know OOO will never reverse the change but it would be nice if they either buffed the damage or changed the mechanics to make them usable again.

Best weapon for capture point control ever.
Shards are for the most part still useless, if you want anything other than shiver or Ash of aggie, there are always snabolax bomb and nitro.
