Has this been beaten to death yet?
I lost my cool with the help of my pal Sam Adams and was called out on it. Basically the best response that could have been given to me:
"It's that kind of attitude that really turns away the next generation of LD players"
or something like that
Man up and deal with it. Use it if ya want, or don't whatev. From personal experience - if you turn it off for a very long time then turn it on again, things start to get magical!

No bra.. and ya Feyi I kinda agree with you. It's not the use or non-use of it that pushes people away or leaves the bad taste in your mouth after a match. I think it's just the pointing of the finger at "AA Noob" or "GF Spammer" or anything else that people try to classify others as. Don't get me wrong, certain things get under my skin for sure! As better players though the best philosophy is to stay silent and defeat the technique rather then lose your cool and give the match a bad vibe.

People use AA with brandishes? Using AA with brandishes feels too weird. Only time I use AA is with Hammer. And I don't even use the hammer unless my team is losing badly. And even then I don't use AA 100% of the time when those situations arise.

As for what Hellscream is saying, I agree completely. I hate seeing the "AA noob" everytime someone dies. It is being thrown around as an excuse for death now, regardless of whether or not it is actually used.

you're better off not using AT with the hammer, actually. Hammer gliding only happens with AT off; if you try to glide through a guard with AT on, you kind of stick the shield, and will more often than not end up dead. I love AT hammer users, because they are a sure kill for me. I'm terrified of hammergliders, because they cut through me like butter... nothing i can do about it.

I hate to break it to you, but Ret is very often taking it easy. Thing is, there's only so much you can dumb down your play. You want he should roll over and die for the new players? Not going to happen.
I'm a fair LD player, not great by any standard, but good enough to help a team, rather than hinder. I will never improve by beating up on new players, only by facing players who are more skilled than I. I don't want the better players to take it easy on me, I want them fighting me. Granted, LD should have better matchmaking systems, so that you don't have stacked teams, but until the rankings are fixed, not much you can do.

There are still plenty of similarities between the two. T2 is more forgiving and has less gear but the weapons are largely the same as in T3 in terms of mechanics, just less powerful. Same goes for the classes.

There are few hybrids very few bombers, gunners, and even hybrids in T2 last I checked. You won't be able to practice effectively, or learn how to deal with them that way.
It's also quite the shock when you're used to be able to take 8 hits, and then in T3 you're suddenly down in 3.
I'm not saying there are no similarities but you won't really be prepared that way.

The thread is complaining about how people who die [to brandish] instantly go to the "AT USER" excuse. It's annoying, but also unrelated to that damage situation.
I'd have to agree with Sportacus on that profile though. Yeah, he was whining and all, but then [Pommy Dragon] waltzes in putting off this "too-holy-for-this-trashy-experience" air (re-read it: "I'm just playing for that accursed Electron Vortex recipe...") then lowers himself to it and eggs the situation on further.

It's also sort of on-topic, not my fault I use an AAcheron. People actually call me an "at noob" when I play lockdown, and that's fairly accurate (minus the noob part).

I wouldn't be one, as I always use /bow after a match.
But that's incredibly accurate. People need to suck it up and find a way around brandish line users. The most simply one would be AP/Sentenza/Carbine switchspam locking which is incredibly effective at locking enemies down (mind the pun) so you can easily kill them.
A Driver also ruins their day. So does a Valiance.
If you can aim of course. If you can't, Polaris is your best bet. If you don't have a Polaris, pray that Retequizzle is on your team.

To AT or not to AT . . . .that is the question!
I'm semi-decent AT Recon (see what I did there)
If I'm not being called an "AA Noob" for taking out one of the opposition, I'm being called a "Recon Coward" . . . Who gives a flying french crépe!
Nothing beats death marking and taking out the same idiots that keep making excuses for dying. . . . and then thanking them politely for stopping the momentum of my DA with thier face :-)
That's because brandish users usually play with AT and if you kill them with brandish, they will complain like that
