Renting Weapons

This is more like a ...... than a suggestion since I'm pretty sure they won't add something like this....

What if we can rent weapons from other players?

A little similar to how AH works, there's a place where we can drop our bounded weapons to be available for rent by other players.

- Just like AH, there's a bid and rent-out price (hourly) that owners can set.
- Only a maximum of 2 weapons can be rented at a time.
- A weapon can be rented for a minimum of 1 hour and maximum of 48 hours.

A tiny but meaningful change to Shield Mechanics in PVE.

Shield already has a tiny blue blob, would be good if that blob could defend all knights who is under it, like in lockdown you know, but yet staying the same tiny size as it is now. That tiny change for tiny blob can bring some new play styles without affecting balance in game.

ps. I think about that every time someone in party lose their connection or just under shock of freeze status and is about to get fatal hit, and the only thing I can do is just watch them dying only because my mighty Omega Sell can't cover them too. Spiral Knights is a co-op game.

This is a long stretch

This is going to be quite a stretch about the Winterfest event cause I am only 1 person. I was hoping Winterfest may come early this year. Not that this matters but I am undergoing surgery on the 5th of December so I will have a lot of extra time on my hands and was hoping there would be an event out that i could play to pass my time. Thanks for your consideration!

Status Attack UVs

Basically, what if you could get Unique Variants hit gave your weapons an additional chance to do a status effect.

They would be Low, Medium, High, and then capped out at Maximum. Additionally, these variants will give your weapon a damage penalty, and you can only have one status UV per weapon. Status UVs will not take up your variant slots, will instead be a new purple slot. Also you cannot roll the same status a weapon already has. For example, fire status on a combuster.

Ranks:

Low: Low chance to inflict Weak status - 4% damage penalty

More defensive UVs

So this is a random idea I had.

Maybe there should be defensive UV's, not talking about status resist or defense increase but UV's that give you a percentage damage reduction versus enemy types / in general / whatever.
Not entirely sure on the name but for the sake of argument let's call it Damage Protection / Vulnerability (of course, this does mean it could be confused with Damage Bonus since they both start with "damage" but whatever)

I imagine it would be:

Low: 8.3% reduction
Medium: 16.7% reduction
High: 25% reduction
Very High: 33.3% reduction
Ultra: 41.7% reduction

UVs have become dry and common, where the player has to go through trash that does literally nothing when they have damage bonus sets on, with only two unique options for weapons. All of these would

Color UVs for armor and weapons and... costumes?

Red: Alters the weapon to be more red
Blue: Alters the weapon to be more blue (stacks with red = purple)
Green: Alters the weapon to be more green (stacks with red and green for the full spectrum!)
Black, White, Purple, Orange, Yellow, etc.: Alters the weapon to be more of that color (it isn't hard to do this in java!)

Let us buy larger quantities of prize box at a time for cheaper prices

So right now we have...
1 box = 5$ = 5$ each
5 boxes = 20$ = 4$ each
14 boxes = 50$ = 3.57$ each

The issue is that I buy like... 200 dollars of prize box at a time, and would like better deals for buying more. This would also help convince people to buy more at a time, and therefore give you more money. I would like to suggest something like...

1 box = 5$ = 5$ each
3 boxes = 12$ = 4$ each
7 boxes = 25$ = 3.57$ each
16 boxes = 50$ = 3.125$ each
34 boxes = 100$ = 2.94$ each
72 boxes = 200$ = 2.77$ each

Make a Tier 4

Just use the same algorithms and rooms, with monsters getting about 5% stronger each level down. Seems like a relatively way to add new challenging content with better rewards that players could just maybe solo.

Defense is worthless

I mean, seriously. It's not even funny.

Let's say for the sake of argument that we'll compare someone who has 100 defense (which is fairly low for Tier 3) to someone with 200 defense (the sort of defense you'd get with plate mail).
That's a difference of 100 defense, which sounds pretty big, right?
...Well, there's a catch.
I've asked on General Discussion and apparently the formula for damage (when DMG > DEF which is basically all the time) is:
damage taken = damage dealt - (defense / 2).
