I'd like to be able to use some of the materials I have from previous events in order to make raising pets with food easier. I understand that many people are opposed to that idea, since for some reason no one checks what they're using to craft into pet food (really?), but I don't see the point in preventing them from being able to be used at all.
Less restrictions on materials that can or cannot be fed to pets

but yeah, that's the only downside to using event materials as food. people will accidentally feed their sprite with it.

I think that we should be able to feed sprites UV tickets as well as gear, crowns, unbinding tickets, prize boxes, other battle sprites, other battlesprite pods, prize boxes, costumes, you name it.
But really though, I think their primary concern is that some events are easily farmable for shear bulk of materials, and give these materials much quicker than any kind of normal gameplay. A good compromise would be to allow these materials to be crafted into some kind of event sprite food in the correct quantity.
This brings up the same problem with rarities. There will come a point when you will have no use for them whatsoever and feel like passing them on to someone else, but you can't due to the administrative glue applied on them. It's a serious problem for many people, since this means leaving a large stack unused by the owner and unaccessible to everyone else indefinitely, potentially to the bitter end of the game.
I suggest such materials be used for feeding Battle Sprites, but with an obligatory pop-up or two that inquires the player's affirmation to follow through with the process. For example:
"This material is obtained through special means and may not be found during normal gameplay. Are you sure you want to use [x material]?"

As for rarities, it may be a worthwhile idea to make them part of the prestige deposit missions. It would be a lot more affordable and manageable than depositing weapons for sure.
